I really enjoyed this coffee. Although it is labeled as a medium roast, to my palate it tastes closer to the beginning of a dark roast. It has a rich coffee character without becoming overly bitter. The first thing I noticed was a strong coffee and dark cocoa flavor. After that, the caramel and toffee notes became more noticeable, followed by a pleasant roasted pecan flavor. The finish has a slight roasted bitterness, along with lingering cocoa, caramel, and pecan. I prepared it in a French press, and adding a little sugar made the caramel and chocolate notes stand out even more. For a flavored coffee, I really like that the coffee itself still has plenty of personality instead of being completely dominated by the flavoring. It reminds me somewhat of the richness of Peet's Major Dickason's, although the flavor profile is obviously different.

Overall, ok coffee but does not taste, or smell, like pecans, carmel or chocolate. Tastes like regular coffee. quite disappointing. glad i only bought 1.
