It is thicker than a credit card but about the same size. The battery life is great and lasts for days. It has different power modes that adjust based on how far away the speaker is. If the battery runs low, it automatically reduces power to keep it from dying in the middle of a conversation. The call recording feature is cool. Instead of a glitchy app, stick it to the back of your phone with MagSafe. It uses a vibration sensor inside the case to find the sound waves traveling through your phone. It records both sides of a normal phone call, FaceTime, or WhatsApp chat without any issues, and it's clear. When you're done recording, the audio is sent to your phone, and the app turns it into text. You get a few hours of free transcription every month, and it supports a list of different languages. The app does a good job of cleaning up the text, turning it into regular meeting minutes or lecture outlines, and you can search for specific words to find what you need. The Con: It doesn't come with a wall plug. The charging cable that comes with it has a magnetic end for the recorder and an old-school, rectangular USB-A plug on the other end. All of my chargers and laptops only use the smaller USB-C ports. I was stuck charging it from my phone's battery at first, which was incredibly annoying. I ended up having to buy a multi-port desktop charging station with different USB slots, so I could finally plug it into the wall. Getting it set up the first time was also a bit of a headache. You have to download their app, make sure your phone's Bluetooth and location settings are turned on, and hold down the recorder's button until the light flashes white so the app can actually find it. After research and videos, I finally figured out how to use it, and I like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Plaud Note Pro to help me keep track of meeting notes and lecture periods from school. I am able to upload them directly to my device to review what I missed. My time is stretched thin or I'm tired and don't retain what I need, and this helps me fill the gaps with that. It's discreet, lightweight, clear and effective. Anyone who is into tech needs one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for my weekly meeting and it's already improved my workflow. It's so thin that it slides onto the back of my phone without feeling bulky. The transcription is surprisingly accurate, even when people talk over each other. I love that I can pull up a summary in the app instead of re-listening to 1 hour of audio. It's saved me so much time drafting reports. I didn't think I needed another gadget, but I'm not going back to taking notes by hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for something like this for a long time to be able to hold all of my conference notes and to be able to arrange them in a lot better of a format, this works out really great. And the features on this are really impressive, it's very user friendly and the microphone picks up everything, the accessories that come together make it easy to use and very simple to transport.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome unit for recording and transcribing conversations or for taking notes. Does a good job capturing voices and understanding context. Would recommend for doctors or attorneys especially.

Impressive technology. Download the user manual from their website. The in box quick start is insufficient.
