I found the ASUS Chromebook Plus (CX1405) to be a good balance between features and cost. It performs well, the battery life is good, and the display is surprisingly good. While it may not have a metal case, touch screen, or backlit keyboard, it doesn't cost twice as much for similar performance. I find this laptop to be an outstanding value.

After years of using Linux distros, I decided to try something different. ChromeOS is far more secure than almost any Linux distro and definitely better than Windows. It also syncs effortlessly with my Android phone. I really like my new Chromebook Plus.

I needed an inexpensive laptop without the hassle of Windows and all the baggage that brings. I was looking for a Chromebook Plus which provides better performance than a basic Chromebook. This is the first Asus product I've purchased and I haven't been disappointed. When I first turned on this Chromebook Plus the setup was really easy. I've always had my info in Google so it was great to turn on a Chromebook and have everything there. I am a touch typist and the keyboard feels really good. The display looks nice and the performance is good. I haven't seen any delays moving between tabs or opening and closing apps. I don't play games and just use this for spreadsheets, document creation, checking emails, my calendar, reminders and browsing the web. The weight of this Chromebook also is good and where I won't be carrying it around much, it's lighter than a lot of the other laptops out there. I would recommend this when you want a basic laptop that's responsive, affordable, easy to set up and use.

I really like the laptop. Haven't had much experience yet but first impressions are good. I do wish it had a back lit keyboard. In addition, I wish it not only had more USB C ports, but I wish they had ports on the right side (there aren't any).

I purchased an "out of the box" computer, meaning it had been opened and refurbished. When I started it up I discovered that the camera does not work. With the purchase of an external camera, it is a great laptop for me. Good video, easy operation.

everything seems great the short time I had it, EXCEPT the battery life. advertised as 'up to 10 hrs', well I only with the battery at 100% got 5 hours. this was too far below the 10 hr. advertised so I returned it.
