Great generator!

Has all the features I was looking for in an inverter/generator. Well built and easy to set up. Had a small generator before but now I can basically run my whole house with this one. Not looking forward to another power outage but I'm ready when it happens

Lots of Useful Features

4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't even started it yet. A lot of flexibility in terms of functionality, although it's for backup for hurricane season, so I hope I never need to use it. Assembly instructions could be written much more clearly and a parts list would have been helpful, but so far so good.

Gotta love the remote start

Super easy to assemble and get the unit up and running. I've already had the unit running for 6-7 and working great. The electric start works every time and having the remote super great. After looking at several other units I decided on this one and I'm glad I did.

Workhorse generator

We bought this 11K inverter dual-fuel generator as a backup power source for our house during hurricane season. At 11K it's large, but easy to move around with the push handles. With straightforward instructions and a push button to turn on, the unit was easy to set up and test. The unit runs equally well with both propane and marine fuel and found no difference in db noise level with either fuel source. The running noise level, for an 11K generator, was good - better than a vacuum cleaner. The quick start guide is outstanding and worth getting laminated. It also includes a table for a suggested maintenance schedule, which is invaluable information. The unit is well-built and has removable side panels for easy access to engine parts, which are well laid out, compact, and neat. The control panel is also well laid out. And if 11K is not enough power, parallel operation allows for linking two compatible Westinghouse generators for combined running and peak power output. With the Westinghouse brand of reliability, we expect to have this generator for a long time.

Starts up with an easy pull...QUIET!

What a difference, compared to the Champion 10,000 watt open frame generator we were using as a backup. So quiet, easy starting. I ran it dry of fuel a few months ago. Add gas today and it started on the first pull. And did I mention it is so Q-U-I-E-T? I wish we had bought this first. Highly recommend.

Excellent Generator in this power size rating

I bought this in preparation for hurricane season to have some power in my house. After testing it, its powerful enough to run the essentials at my house, but small enough to still use elsewhere. Has plenty of extras compared to other brands in this price range.

Easy set up

I just purchased the Westinghouse igen11000 tri fuel for our rv and home back up power. Set up was easy, only assembly was to install the wheels/chalks and add oil/fuel. Will test it out next weekend on our boon-docking trip, excited to see how it holds up on a 2 a/c rv set up!

Exceeded expectations

I just bought this 11000 watt generator and so far I am impressed. It came with everything necessary to get it up and running on propane and gas. It came with the oil, a funnel, tools, and trickle charger for the onboard battery. After setting it up, it started first push of the button on propane. I only ran it for .4 hours so far but I anticipate it lasting for many years.

Peace of Mind Restored

The generator started right up on the first try. Went through the “break in” period as recommended without any issues. I am very pleased with this unit. Ready for the hurricanes that seem to be happening in Florida these days. Thank you Westinghouse!

Good machine

Seems like solid build. Works as expected. One little thing about recoil start. Too much resistance. So, I would like to say recoil start is only for real emergency start, when the battery dead. I realized that happens because the engine is pretty powerful and has relatively big displacement. So consider this and keep the battery charged by included charger. I already have 3.5 kwt generator, it was alright for short outages, i could keep running my fridge, boiler and heat, watch tv. However it was not powerful enough for AC and stove range. This unit produces 9 kwt. I can use it for stove and AC. My old central AC consumes a lot of starting amps and generator switches of power because of overload, but its not a big issue for me. I'm planning to install a new mini split invertor ac. Also, i can install a soft start for my old one. Over all i'm happy of purchase.
