This was the second one I purchased - my son gifted us the Joe Jr and I bought one for us - he liked the Jr so much when he was here visiting he added one to his collection of Kamado Joe grills so I bought him a cover for his :)

I have had the new cover for about a month and love it. The new quick relase straps are the best. No more fooling with drawstrings! Cover is heavy duty and does a great job of protecting my Joe.

The fit is good, but after only 1 month, the red accents are faded to orange, and the black is turning gray feom sun fade. There is no UV resistance to the material at all.

Best grill!! I've had a green egg and primo - Kamado is the best of the three. Would be 5 starts but came with big chunk paint off and side shelf warped so that doesn't work.

In less than one year this cover fell apart. The description says "Designed with UV resistant technology to limit fading and sun damage", but after just a few months the cover turned a gray color and then started to disintegrate. I'm really disappointed with the quality. I shouldn't have to buy a new cover every 9-12 months.

Handsome cover with red letter logo and pipping. BUT, after a few months; 4 to be exact the cover has faded to gray, and the red pipping has turned white. My new Kamado smoker grilled looks like a 10 year old piece of equipment instead of a newly investment purchase. Paid good money for the grill and seems that subpar accessories do not measure up.

Let me start with the quality. It is excellent. From top to bottom. I owned a Vision Grills Maxis (24”) prior to this and it was poorly designed, poorly built, and leaked air like a sieve. The Kamado Joe Big Joe 2 is radically better. The design is better. Parts fit together tightly and are assembled properly. As a result, temperature control is easy, predictable, and reliable. And given the fact that food can be cooked much closer to or much further from the coals. This is also unique to Kamado Joe, it seems. I suspect this product will serve me well for many years. If I had one small complaint, it would be about the assembly of the fire bowl. It can be a bit challenging and can result in chipping of pieces as you put it all together, and a simple tool like a styrofoam form would make it much easier. But this is a very, very minor thing. I'm extremely happy with this product.

Looks great new, but did not make it 12 month without fading out/looking wrecked. My KJ is full year on my back porch (north side of the house) under a roof. Mild winter barely below 32F, no snow (Atlanta region). This performance is not what I expect of something called „heavy duty“. Big KJ fan and happy with all my gear except this one.

The cover seems to be well made, however the iconic red Kamado Joe kettle symbol and the word Joe don't really look good in pink. I've had the cover 3 months and the red has rapidly faded to pink, and may fade away within a few more months at the present rate. I've had a cover for my gas grill from a major manufacturer that features their red logo. The color on it has not faded in five years of exposure and use. Kamado Joe needs to look into options for their red color. It doesn't affect the operation, it just doesn't look good for such an otherwise well made line of products.

Everything they say about the currently shipping BIG JOE cover in the description is FALSE. House painters hit my original cover with overspray and offered to replace the cover with new. This was a replacement for my 5 year old original, it leaked within a few months, faded QUICKLY, and the red trim started to come apart. At first it was a perfect fit, beaded water off, breathed well and remained black. Now it is a grey color and I am looking for alternatives. Both from my experience and the abundance of complaints on the website, KamadoJoe has chosen an inferior supplier that forgot to use UV protectant. I should have kept my original which was the best made cover I have ever had on a grill. Live and learn.
