Excellent Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a 65" LG C5 and am really impressed with the increased brightness in the new C5. Very pleased with the image quality and overall TV for the price compared to when I originally bought the C1.

The LG 83” C5 is great television!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG C5 OLED is one of those TVs that immediately feels extraordinary. The first night I set it up, I played a movie I'd watched dozens of times, only to be stunned by how different it looked. The perfect black levels created real depth, making bright highlights feel almost three-dimensional. Shadows were rich with detail, revealing subtle textures I'd never noticed before. It felt like rediscovering something familiar through a new lens. As I switched between movies, shows, and sports, the α9 Gen 8 AI processor proved its value. Older content looked naturally sharper, action scenes stayed smooth, and colors remained accurate no matter what I was watching. When I connected my gaming console, the 144Hz refresh rate and low input lag instantly stood out; gameplay felt fluid, precise, and intensely immersive. WebOS 25 added to the experience with quick app loading, easy navigation, and thoughtful recommendations. The TV's design, slim and modern, fit beautifully into the room without drawing attention to itself. Even before adding a soundbar, dialogue was clear and the audio had surprising depth. What impressed me most, though, was the consistency, no matter the content, the C5 delivered a cinematic, vibrant, and genuinely exciting viewing experience every time.

Amazing TV with Great Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this TV for our Bedroom and it does not disappoint. Regular content looks extremely clean, and HDR and Dolby Vision just pop off the screen. Nothing beats OLED and the C5 delivers on all marks in the price bracket. There is nothing better out there for the money. The new remove is also an improvement for me, as the older LG remotes featured piano black plastics that scratch easy and feel slick in the hand. The new remote is matte in finish and easy to navigate with. The latest updates with WebOS 25 have also made it easier to navigate around the interface. Which absolutely purchase again.

Great tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this beauty, and it was stunning out of the box. I just can't get over how crisp and beautiful the picture is under any type of lighting. I also have to say the OS upgrade is huge!! The menus are more user friendly and everything including downloads move at light speed. I cannot bribe the tv I just got at this price. Don't miss the current deal LG is running as it cannot be beat!!

Great picture quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture quality on this tv is fantastic. I've had my old 65” tv for about 10 years until it just stopped working. After some research, this tv hit all my requirements in terms of refresh rate, OLED, and size. Everyone says the color and picture is extremely vibrant. The sound quality is only ok, so I would recommend a sound bar/speakers to go with it. Other than that, I highly recommend this tv.

Brilliant TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for the ultimate centerpiece for your home theater, the LG OLED77C5PUA is effectively the "gold standard" TV of 2025. Succeeding the wildly popular C4, the C5 doesn't reinvent the wheel—it polishes it to a blinding shine. I have spent two weeks with the 77-inch C5, throwing everything from 4K Blu-rays to high-frame-rate PC games at it. Here is why this TV is an absolute beast. 1. Picture Quality: Intelligence Meets Intensity The headline feature this year is the new α9 AI Processor Gen8. LG talks a lot about "AI" in their marketing, but this year you can actually see it working. Brightness: While the C5 doesn't have the Micro Lens Array (MLA) tech reserved for the pricier G5, it is noticeably brighter than last year's C4. The "Brightness Booster" tech pushes highlights—explosions, streetlights, stars—with an intensity that makes HDR content pop off the screen. SDR Performance: This is the sleeper hit feature. The C5 takes standard content (like older TV shows or 1080p streams) and revitalizes it. The upscaling is cleaner, sharper, and brighter without looking artificial. Color & Contrast: You get the infinite contrast OLED is famous for. Blacks are inky and perfect. Colors are rich but natural. 2. Gaming: The Best Just Got Better If you are a gamer, stop looking. You have found your TV. The 77-inch canvas is immersive enough to replace a multi-monitor setup. 144Hz Refresh Rate: PC gamers can push frame rates up to 144Hz for buttery smooth motion. VRR & ALLM: With full support for NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, screen tearing is nonexistent. Game Optimizer: The dashboard puts critical settings (black stabilizer, genre presets) one click away. Input lag is virtually undetectable. 3. Design & Usability The "C" series aesthetic remains undefeated. The panel is razor-thin—thinner than your smartphone—and the 77-inch model sits on a sturdy, premium stand (though it begs to be wall-mounted). webOS 25: The new operating system is snappier than ever. The "AI Concierge" actually learns what you like rather than just pushing random ads. Navigating between Netflix, GeForce Now, and HDMI inputs feels instant. 4. The "Wow" Factor There is something visceral about a 77-inch OLED. It fills your peripheral vision. Watching Dune: Part Two or playing Cyberpunk 2077 on this screen isn't just "watching TV"—it's an event. The sheer scale combined with the pixel-perfect contrast creates a 3D-like depth that LED TVs still can't quite replicate. Any Downsides? Sound: The built-in 2.2 channel audio is surprisingly decent with clear dialogue, but if you are spending this much on a visual masterpiece, do yourself a favor and buy a Dolby Atmos soundbar. The TV deserves it. Glass Reflection: Like all glossy OLEDs, you'll want to control the lighting in your room. It handles reflections better than the C3 or C4, but direct sunlight is still the enemy. Final Thoughts The LG OLED77C5PUA is a triumph.[1] It sits in that perfect sweet spot: significantly better than entry-level OLEDs, but much more affordable than the flagship G5 Gallery Series. If you want a TV that will make your jaw drop every time you turn it on for the next 5 years, this is the one. Pros: Stunning HDR brightness and contrast Class-leading gaming features (144Hz, 0.1ms response)[1] New Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor makes everything look 4K[2] Gorgeous, ultra-thin design[3]

The best Tv I've ever purchased

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performance-wise, this TV is smooth. LG's new processor handles motion better than older models, so fast scenes don't blur as much. Gaming on it is crazy good, too—low input lag, all the HDMI 2.1 features, and a picture that makes next-gen games look like they were made for this screen. The built-in webOS still has its little quirks, but it's quick and easy to bounce between apps. For a TV this big, the sound is better than expected, though most people will still want a soundbar. Overall, the C5 is one of those TVs that makes everything you watch feel premium. It's not cheap, but once you see it in action, it's hard to go back.

The Benchmark for Cinematic Immersion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG C5 77-inch delivers a reference-quality picture that truly elevates the home viewing experience. The increase in brightness is noticeable, bringing out stunning HDR highlights and making it a viable option for well-lit rooms, while retaining those signature, perfect OLED black levels. The new Alpha processor excels at motion handling and upscaling, ensuring that both high-bitrate 4K films and standard broadcast content look sharp and clean on this massive screen. The 77-inch size provides unparalleled cinematic immersion. However, prospective buyers focused on film and media libraries should note one crucial detail: the C5 series does not support native DTS audio decoding. This requires the use of an external receiver or soundbar for media that relies on DTS soundtracks. Additionally, like any top-tier display, a careful check of panel uniformity upon setup is recommended to ensure optimal performance. Overall, this is the best balanced OLED display currently available for the serious movie enthusiast.

LG OLED 77 inch C5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the LG C5 77″ OLED for a little while now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best TVs I've ever owned. The picture quality is absolutely gorgeous — deep, perfect blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast. Movies look cinematic, sports are smooth, and even older content benefits from the AI upscaling. This screen size in OLED really transforms the room into a home theater. Picture Quality The OLED evo panel is phenomenal. Dark scenes have incredible detail thanks to the perfect black levels, and bright highlights really pop. Dolby Vision content looks especially impressive. Even in a moderately bright room, the TV holds up well. Gaming Performance If you're a gamer, this TV is a dream. With 120Hz (and support for higher VRR rates), super low input lag, and compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync, games feel buttery smooth. My console and PC both look their absolute best on this screen. It's one of the rare TVs where you immediately notice the difference in responsiveness. Smart Features webOS is clean, fast, and easy to navigate. Apps load quickly, and the personalized home screen is a nice touch. The AI features aren't just marketing — the TV does a great job optimizing picture and sound on the fly. Sound For built-in speakers, the audio is surprisingly spacious. The AI Sound Pro creates a wider, more immersive soundstage than I expected, and Dolby Atmos support is a plus. That said, if you're building a true home theater, pairing it with a good soundbar or surround system will push it to another level. Design & Build The TV is incredibly thin and looks premium on the wall. The stand works fine, but because of the size, I'd recommend wall-mounting if you can — it really completes the high-end look. Minor Drawbacks Not many. It isn't the brightest TV on the market, so rooms with tons of direct sunlight may wash it out a bit. The Magic Remote's pointer function takes some getting used to (you'll either love it or hate it). And if you rely on DTS audio, just know it's not supported on this model. Final Verdict The LG C5 77" OLED is a fantastic TV that delivers incredible picture quality, outstanding gaming performance, and a refined smart TV experience. It's the perfect centerpiece for a home theater or gaming setup. For the price and performance, it's one of the best large-screen OLEDs you can buy right now. Highly recommended.
