Once it was assembled, it felt sturdy without being overly heavy, which I appreciated a lot. I also love the design. It's simple and elegant. The corners are such a nice detail and really elevate the overall look. I'm not a fan of bulky furniture, so I loved that this crib looks clean and stylish without taking over the whole room. One thing I was especially grateful for was that it already included the hardware to convert it into a daybed later on as our baby grows. That made it feel like a really practical long-term. My favorite feature, though, is that the mattress can be set higher than on other cribs we've owned. Our baby is a big boy, so this seriously saved my back during all those constant pick-ups and put-downs. It's one of those little things that makes a huge difference day to day. It's sleek and modern design make it the perfect addition to our nursery. The Aster crib also converts into a toddler bed and a daybed which makes it a lasting multipurpose piece of furniture. Did I mention it is also made out of solid New Zealand pine. The assembly process is pretty straight forward and the instructions are easy to follow which I appreciated. My baby was seven months old when we got the crib and I was in the market for a new one when the email came through to sign up for it. I must say, I was in love from the moment it came to my door. My husband is a trucker, if you know, you know, so I need items that are easy for me to put together while he isn't here. I was able to put this bed together in a matter of 45 minutes, without our drill!! All I needed was an Allen wrench and it came with one to help put it together!! I loved the white because it went together with my bedroom set, baby sleeps in my room. It's not too heavy that you can't move it room to room easily either. The instructions were very clear. There was also a video to help you if you couldn't follow the instructions. After getting it and putting it together I practically ran to the store it grab a mattress and sheets. Once I did and put that all in, the bed was perfect. And my baby loves it! I love it! I was super excited to start trying to move her from sleeping in our bed with me to sleeping in her own bed. That is extremely helpful for someone like me who isn't good at putting things together. I was able to put everything together with the Allen key that was provided. It was a little tight trying to screw in the screws in some areas but that's normal. It took me about an hour. Someone who's not experienced it would probably take only 30 minutes tops. The wood is on the softer side. Which is a good thing because we don't want our little ones hurting themselves if they fall inside of the crib. It has plenty of space. My baby is 8 months and 25 pounds. He has plenty of space to move around, play, and lay. It is a bit on the bulkier side. He doesn't get his arm caught in the bars of the crib. They're not too wide and not too slim. I love how this bed has four different modes of use. Currently I'm using the crib mode and I plan on changing it to a toddler bed once he turns one. The fact that the mattress area is adjustable is such a plus! I noticed in the manual I can adjust the height and it doesn't take much to do so. Simply unscrew and adjust accordingly. The crib is a bit bulky but my room is on the smaller side. The design fits with any modern room. It's white and white matches with anything. I like how I don't have to worry that my baby is sleeping in an unsafe way. I have no worries putting him in his crib and falling asleep because I know he's cozy in his crib. We are a bit tight on space as this crib is for our third baby, but it looks beautiful in the corner of our primary bedroom.
