This unit cools by means of a thermo-electric cooling module that has the ability to cool 20F-28F below ambient temperature. There is no thermostat, and the unit is designed to run continuously.<br />To prevent excessive fan noise, place the unit on a firm level surface with adequate clearance for ventilation.
