I ordered two 8' elevated beds. They arrived very well-packed with recyclable packaging and in excellent shape. It took one person (mainly) with a helper about 3 hrs to assemble each with the second one going a bit faster the next day. The construction is of very sturdy steel and relies on pre-tapped holes using flat machine screws. Just enough of these holes could use some cleaning out to make for some frustration during assembly. Not too many on the framing (1 to 2), but the rails on which the bed bottoms rest were not fun. There are 20 ca. 11 mm machine screws needed per 8" bed, and one of the beds had perhaps 10 badly tapped holes. I needed to use bare hands to set the screws in the tread, then used the supplied wrench to tighten. I suggest a ratchet drive or a hex head driver for this task, as the clearance is restricted. If I had to do it again, I'd find the screw size and buy a longer one to clean these holes out prior to assembly. Maybe the ones for the frame as well. When they were well-prepared, assembly was a breeze. A final note, these aren't actually 8' in length. They are more like 7' 10". Maybe someone has already commented on that.

So far, I love it! I splurged on myself for my birthday and got this bed to add to our garden. We have to have (or make)elevated beds so our trees' roots don't invade the soil. The bed is fairly easy to put together, very heavy duty wheels, and good drainage. The only thing I can see is that items stored on the bottom may get wet along the edge as the bed drains, just something to keep in mind. I am VERY surprised that this bed actually rolls fairly easily, even when loaded up with moist soil. The locks on the wheels also work surprisingly well to keep it from moving. I have it all planted out and can't wait to see how things grow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Built this with my dad. I've put together a lot of ikea furniture and other things and nothing was this bad. Despite adjusting as the instructions dictated, the holes frequently did not align well. Particularly when putting together parts P1 and adding the final screws at the end of the build. Parts B2 were dented in the fold where it needed to be placed on top of B1 making it difficult to complete. The instructions also seemed incomplete: there were 4 silicone circles among the screws and bolts and the instructions do not mention what they are for (They're not even on the parts list) . I found out only while looking at the instructions for the cover (that i am still waiting on) where the were supposed to go, but those holes are not there on the bed so i'm not sure how we'll install that whenever it finally gets here. Finally the bottom rack is only held together by zip ties. A little laughable. Its a nice size and looks great, but the faults make me concerned about use.

I had purchased these products before for my daughter in Florida and had thought they were lovely. We are so happy with our first product. Went together easily, looks great, is a wonderful height to work at, and just adds to our patio, Using it initially as a starter garden for our seedlings and then will thin out and use for specific veggies.

I recently purchased the 2’x8’ elevated vegetable garden for my wife and she absolutely loves it! I will say that the build process took longer than expected and the online video tutorials were a big help! Upon completing the build, I was certainly impressed with the build quality! It is very sturdy and functional. We filled it with lots of different types of vegetables and added a few flowers for decoration. Being able to plant vegetables while standing up was the most amazing part. It was so. nice to not be on your knees and bending over half your garden! Can’t wait to see our results! Amazing product!

We just finished putting this together. I got the grey and love the color. It is very sturdy and was easy to get assembled. Everything very well labeled. It took us about 45 mins with two people. The wheels are large and brakes seem very strong has I placed it on a slope and it did not move even before all three were engaged. I cannot wait to get my plants in!

Whoa, this is a big boy and made to outlast even me. I purchased this for my front deck where our front door is located. I figured if it looked too cutesy-farmer tacky we could move it to the backyard. It is gorgeous! The finish is high-end and the dimensions are stunning-it's huge. We opted for the wheels and highly recommend you do too. They are industrial quality and finished in sexy glossy black - you can roll the whole unit smoothly with just one hand. Took me almost 3 hours to put together and I highly recommend you watch Vego's video tutorial on assembly several times and take notes - it will save you time. Parts were labeled perfectly. This tip will save you at least an hour: when they say do NOT tighten screws until the very end, that means you will never get to the end if you fail to follow this instruction. The looser the coupling the faster the job goes. Sixteen square feet of growing joy in a container worthy of a front entrance. Well done Vego!

We purchased the 8 ft Elevated Garden Bed for our newly assembled Vego greenhouse. It fits beautifully and it is very easy to assemble. We have purchased several Vego products so being familiar with the products helps with assembly. I highly recommend getting the wheels. It will raise your bed higher if desired, but I wanted the ability to move the filled bed to accommodate future rearranging within the greenhouse. I ordered it with out the wheels by accident. Vego does not sell the wheels separately. It was a pain to find wheels that would fit and expensive to purchase them separately elsewhere.

Assembly was straightforward, though attaching the straps required two people. The packaging materials were useful as a foundational layer in the bed. I then added quality topsoil, followed by a layer of rich, organic humus soil from Yellow Bag. I’m excited to see how my flowers will bloom in this setup. Love the very little bending!

The elevated bed has made it easy for me to grow quite a lot of herbs, veggies, and fruits with little effort in my small yard. I couldn’t be happier. Will likely be purchasing more of these!
