It only worked 2 times smh I'm really upset I spent so much money on this item for it to make ice 2 time

Great features!

The Opal ice maker performs well but the ice is soft and therefore melts quickly. I rate it as average.

Makes ice quickly

I use more ice now than ever!  I also really like that it reuses melted water so you don't have to constantly refill it.

Love the small ice pieces!

I replaced an existing nugget ice maker with this one and love it. It is easier to use and makes ice much faster!

Great Ice Maker!

We love this ice maker.  Performs as promised.  A little pricey or I would have another for the RV.  Perfect “Sonic” style ice.

I bought the 1.0 version but it broke soon after the warranty ran out.  Hoping this one lasts longer.

We use it everyday and love it. We had a pellet ice maker before and it didn't last a year. So far so good on this one.

Where Have You Been All My Life?

I waited so long to get this and it was definitely worth the wait!! :) I love the nugget ice that it makes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this unit because it stated the assembly product dimensions are (LxWxH) 24.75 x 20.25 x 14.74. The G.E Profile they sent was (LxWxH) 17.5 x 13.43 x 16.5. When I contacted GE they stated that they do not make a unit that is 14.75 inches tall. I am completely unhappy that this unit states the wrong size in height.

Absolutely love  it!!  People often speak about the noise.  After about two days, I was adjusted and don't pay any attention to it.  It's no different than an ice maker in a refrigerator.  The reservoir and container hold quite a bit of water so you are not constantly refilling.  The ice is wonderful.  I wish I had purchased years ago.
