I've had another company's ice maker and it didn't last but a few months. We found this one and fell in love! Has not let me down. Quiet, great performance. Amazing ice! Cannot live without this!

I happen to have a refrigerator without an icemaker, so I bought a icemaker to put on my counter, the first one was ok, I just didn’t like the sharp, so I search on-line for about a year. After about 2 years I Bought the GE opal

This is the second one of these ice makers I’ve purchased This one by far is extremely noisy the side panels rattle and the pump is so much louder Did we get a lemon this time?

GE pushed us to opal tech support who took down our issue and then won't respond. 6 months old and intermittently makes a very loud squealing when making ice.

So far this has been a great experience. The setup was easy and the ice maker is really great. It does have a refigerator sound and you can hear the ice when it moves through the end of the tube and when it drops but it isn't bothersome.

Bought two months ago. We love this machine. The ice is amazing, just like “Sonic ice”. Others have complained about the loudness of this machine but unless you are standing right next to it, I don’t even notice. It was the star of the last party!

I was introduced to these buy my boss who has several of these at his houses. He bought one for the office and it's so convenient. I've got spoiled to this type of ice with or without a drink all day long. I had to have one for my home!

So far I have not had any problems! I could. Or be happier, the quality of the ice is perfect! I am very impressed with how quiet the machine is and how fast it makes ice.

I love the ice and the look of the ice maker but almost immediately it started making a squeaking noise. I cleaned it and it stopped. A day later it started squeaking again!!

I love this ice maker and am so glad I purchased it. It does make noise frequently so you may want to consider putting it in a pantry or bar area where it isn’t heard all the time.
