The ice maker is nice and sturdy. I just installed it and it's currently making ice. I thought I would produce ice a little faster. It's been about 30 min and it's made a small pile of ice. I can't give it a five stars yet since I just started using it. But so far so good.

This is our 3rd Opal ice maker and we've loved them all. The first generation Ice maker died after about a year, but our second gen still works and we love this newest one. It makes the best ice and the side tank allows us to have to fill water less often. It makes plenty of ice to support a family of 4.

This is the best ice ever! Nothing like having this nugget ice to light up your drink of choice! This machine works great! We've had it for about a month now and we are so glad we made this purchase. We don't use any other type of ice but this nugget ice. The GE OPAL Nugget Ice Maker is a very well built machine. We make sure we clean it once a week per recommendation from the manufacturer. When our kids come over to visit, they always ask for a bag of nugget ice to take home. They all love it as much as we do! This is a great product, fits on our kitchen counter perfectly.

I love the ice that this machine produces. Best ice on the market for countertop ice makers. However, the noise can be very annoying. I had to return three machines because the whining noise was so bad. The ice would start to come and then get stuck somehow which would cause the machine to make the whining and screeching noises.

This ice maker is one awesome appliance. I have tried other nugget ice makers and the Opal beats them all hands down. It makes ice very quickly which is great since all five of us are getting ice through out the day and have never run out. The Opal is no louder than a mini fridge when it's running. It's very easy to setup and maintain.

Some people might say having your own crushed ice maker makes you a little bougie and truth be told, they're probably right. However upon being presented one for my birthday, I realized how insanely practical this fine little shiny machine of unbridled joy actually is. You see, now I am no longer held hostage by the evil little nugget ice bagging billionaires & globalist QSR cuck shills of Sonic Corp/Inspire Brands & THAT is the gift that (literally) keeps on giving. I was hesitant to spend the $$$ after reading so many bad reviews. I've only had it for a week but so far I love it. Cleaning it is easy, I do not think it's too loud, and the nuggets are perfect! It is aesthetically pleasing and it's been a huge hit at the house. Everyone wants the ice now!

I LOVE my opal2.0. It makes perfect, soft nugget ice and it's spoiled me to a point where I no longer like to use any other ice. It's super easy to register, step up, and clean especially when it tells you exactly when it needs to be cleaned to avoid any kind of build up. The manual also comes with a ton of information on the machine.

I have been looking forward to my Opal purchase for a long while and finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago. My husband and I spent about 2 hours unboxing, setting up and cleaning before our first use. It was not a hard process, just a bit tedious. I love the ice and using it to fill my water cup every morning and night. My husband likes it, but doesn't love it for mixed drinks as it does melt quickly. It is so nice looking and fits under our cabinets well. I'm definitely thankful we went for the upgraded side tank version. We only need to refill every few days or so. This is best for a small family and not large gatherings. I easily use half of the ice on a morning that I fill my large water cup and make iced coffee.

I love this machine. Quick to make. Easy to use and install. It always makes more than enough so i bag it up and when we have luncheons at work i bring a few gallon bags into work and everyone goes crazy for it because it is "chewy ice". Honestly i can say this is one of the best buys i have done recently.
