We owned an Opal Ice maker that didn’t last us very long. We knew people that had the GE Opal so we decided to give it a try. As an ice loving family- it’s awesome. Here’s hoping it lasts as long as our friends!

This ice maker is a complete gamechanger. The ice is constantly fresh and perfectly “soft” pellet ice. It makes ice so fast! It’s been a huge hit for my entire neighborhood. And - I love how easy cleaning it is! Highly recommend!!!

Ran cleaning cycles first and has worked flawlessly since. Using reverse osmosis filtered water. Side tank is a must for convenience. Ice is perfect, just like Sonic, Canes. Chic Filet, etc. Well worth the money.

I love nugget ice!! We saw and talked to an owner of the the same ice maker and they spoke well of machine. We purchased one shortly after and I couldn’t be happier. I get to bag my own nugget ice instead buying it. Win win!

We love love love our opal! If we could give it a 4.5 I would have just for being noisy- but other than that it does everything it should. I love the large tank for water so refills don’t have to happen so often.

I love the chew on ice. I’ve loved the “good” ice for so long and would comment how I wish we could have that ice at home. Well now I have and I chomp on it all the time! Easy to use!

I absolutely love my countertop, GE icemaker. I had my entire family which is 14 extra people for Thanksgiving, and it held up wonderfully. I love the small “good” ice. It is a fantastic addition to my kitchen, especially for entertaining!

This is the GOOD ICE! So far it works really well. Super easy to clean and descaling is not that difficult. Highly recommend to use reverse osmosis, water, or distilled water.

I love the ice the machine produces. The only issue with the machine in the loud squealing noise it makes when needing to defrost. Happens often and for an extended period of time.

I had purchased an opal when they first came out by 1 build for the office. It got a lot of use! Now that GE has purchased the opal, it is even better.
