I made gravy for a roast beef poboy and I made stew with this in place of the oil. The difference in flavor was absolutely amazing! Fine restaurant quality at home. It was the best gravy and stew I've ever made. I've been cooking for 40 years! But it! You won't regret it!!

Made home fries with this beef tallow.. Wow, sure added a great taste. Will pick one up for my son and his family. High recommend

The product I received had a long BB date(April 2027) and my only complaint is the container is a soft paper/wax style container with a thin plastic lid and then another thin seal that you pull off is underneath it - not the hard container most would be used to if you buy Crisco. Mine came in a box with other items and it had exploded all over the place. Definitely a quality product. My dog was ecstatic about that box before I even opened it to find the mess and you can be assured he got a lick in before I realized the severity of the issue. So maybe just be aware of what else you are ordering with it if getting delivery or pick up the two smaller can version in stores.

Haven't even opened the container yet, but I'm still going with a "2" rating because the first thing that I always do is :Check the expiration date". The one that I had delivered has LESS than 5 month expiration! With the size of the container, I'm sure about a third will go in the trash, making it to expensive for my taste. A large family may do better then us.
