DO NOT PURCHASE

We bought this hose this spring, and it has stayed attached to our faucet. Went to remove it before a freeze and it WOULD NOT unscrew. We cut the large plastic/rubber end off from around the metal female end, and still could not get the end off the faucet. It looks corroded like a car battery. Even the plumber can't get it removed. We will have to tear into our ceiling in the basement to have a new outdoor faucet installed, which will be fairly costly when completed. Sam's did sell hose with brass ends, but this junky silver metal stuff corrodes and fuses to other metals. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS HOSE.

What does Kink Resistant mean?

I have an older version of this hose. The package indicated it is professional hose. I don't see it. Within a year it started to kink. Eventually the kinks started to leak and cause bursts. Curious how long this hose should last for residential use? The photos tell it all.

Wouldn't call it "kink-resistant"

Bought to water cattle instead of carrying buckets. first time I used it it kinked while dragging it across the yard. At least the fittings are good. I was going to take it back to try to exchange it, but after reading other reviews the hoses are nowhere near as good as mine. I have the brass fittings and it seems they made them cheaper now.

I have 4 of these hoses

I have bought 4 of these hoses (live on several acre's) 2 of which are 3-4 years old (brass fittings) and 2 are a little over a year old. I live in Kansas and have left the hoses outside thru winter (not hooked up) and they are the best value hoses I have. I also have a 3/4" 100' and 50' neverkink and for the money and being 5/8" these are great hoses.

Quality took a nosedive

Bought one 5 years ago and worked until last week when I accidently punctured it with a utility knife. Bought a new one last Sunday and it already has an un-repairable leak at one of the so-called crushproof connectors. (The far end male connector) The old one had brass connectors while the new one has aluminum ones and the leak is before the threaded piece starts. (It's a 2 piece part pressed together and leaks like a sieve. ) Now I have to cut it off and splice an old hose end on because the trip back to Sam.s club would be greater than the hose replacement with no guarantee the new hose would not leak. Why try to change a product that works and come up with a failure ??

Couldn't buy one without a hole from the start

I recently purchased this and the first one I bought had a hole in it near the faucet end. I returned it and bought another just guessing that I had received a poor quality one but the second one had a hole at the other end when I hooked it up! I will not be trying a third. Great price if the hose would actually come without a flaw.

Excellent Hose - Just Assume There is No Warranty

This is a high quality hose, for an excellent price. We have probably bought 10 of them or more over the last 3-4 years, and will probably still buy more (we live on a farm). That said, we attempted a return to the store on one that had obvious manufacturing defects in the hose itself. It had been unrolled, but never used. We were told that - in regards to the warranty - we needed to contact the manufacturer. Being a "Member's Mark" item we were confused, and said so. We were told again that we needed to contact the manufacturer. Instead of arguing about it or asking for a manager we simply gave up. This is still the best hose on the market, for the price. Just don't assume there is an actual warranty included with your purchase. Sam's Club is not what it once was.

Horrible Hose - Total Garbage

If you look at the ends of this hose, you may be misled to think you are getting a robust, high quality hose, but unfortunately, that is not the case. This is hands down the worst hose I have ever owned. The cheapest of cheap hoses will outperform this hose. NO stars is the proper rating. It kinks every few feet, which contrary to the advertising statement, completely STOPS water flow. Once a kink is present in a particular area, it is permanent and cannot be massaged out or removed. If you have tons of pressure going through the hose, the numerous kinked areas may not bother you, but for most people, the propensity to kinking just plain sucks. Do yourself a favor and spend more $ to get a good hose like the Flexzilla (also sold by Sam's), which is awesome! I got a Flexzilla and am totally pleased. No kinking, great flow, high visibility, and safe, drinkable water.

No better hose for the money!

I have owned four of these hoses. I don't think you can find a better hose for the price and certainly not a longer one! They are durable, but not indestructible, and they are pretty stiff in cold weather. My best advice is to combat this is keep them on a good hose reel. The first ones I bought had brass couplings, the newest one has some other kind of coupling (maybe zinc or some alloy), but so far it has proven very durable. I'd give it 5 stars if they still used brass!

Didn't last 5 minutes

Just bought this hose to use in the yard. After hooking it up and turning on the water in just about 5 minutes it busted at the seam. Returned for a trade and bought another and the same thing happened to the second one in the same spot. Great price on this item but very poor quality. I would not buy this item again or recommend.
