Minor Problem

This is a great hose and does not kink just like it says. However the connections are made of Aluminum and when connected to a dissimilar metal like Brass will cause the connection to corrode and you will not be able to disconnect the connection. This happened to me and we tried two 18 in pipe wrenches and could not break the connection of Aluminum to Brass. Go figure. For a little more money they could have made it of brass like all other hoses. They do tell you in the information that you should disconnect the hose at least 3 times a year. This is to prevent the corrosion from freezing the connection together.

BEST HOSE EVER!

We own two of these hoses (one for the front yard, one for the back yard). We have even purchased them as gifts for family members! They are the BEST - thick, sturdy, and well made! They last a LONG time with daily use... and lots of stretching around the yard! They are a bonus at 120 feet long! We HIGHLY recommend this hose!!!!

Nice Length But!

If your life is a bit dull and want to add a little "kink" to it then buy this garden hose. Says kink resistant but in my case I haven't found that to be true--seems to easily kink. Too bad because I like the length and the price is not too bad--probably would have to spend more for a less kinky hose.

kink resistant?

The materials for the hose seem to be of good quality and the length is wonderful . But it ends there, if this is a kink resistant hose I would hate to get one that wasn't labeled as such. Right from when it was first released from the packaging there were areas that were twisted which leads to a kink when used. Having to try a press the hose back into a round shape for water to flow is tedious. Long story short would I buy this hose again - no.

Not a good hose

I bought this hose last year. Kink Resistant it is not. It kinks up all the time. The quality is not good and has aluminum ends instead of the brass ends. The black hose that Sam's Club used to sell is a much better quality, so if that is what you think this one is , think again. It is not. I was very disappointed.

Not the best… seems like your generic off brand

If you want a long garden hose this fills the bill. However, this is not the quality that I have seen in precious Sam's club garden hoses. The outer jacket is thin and kinks easily. I do like the female hose connection though. It spins on the water hydrant easily.

Aluminum connectors, avoid using on brass fittings

This hose seemed great but after about a year it has chemically fused to my very expensive Dramm brass fittings. I was able to remove it from my expensive hose reel before that happened to that end too. Avoid this hose if you have brass fittings or it may be permanently attached to your spigot.

Lasts out in the weather

I have 4 of these hoses stretched into the vineyard and animal pens. They mostly stay laid out across the ground and pressurized all year, summer heat and winter frost. The older brass end fittings are better. The silver (aluminum?) fittings tend to corrode, which isn't a problem when you have them semi-permanently installed. If the newer hoses still had brass fittings, I'd give them a 5 on quality. I'm really surprised these don't burst or leak with freezes or constant pressure. Of course, it rarely freezes here, and never for long. Great hose for the price! But, please bring back the brass fittings.

Good Hose for a Reel

I have a large back yard and I use a hose reel. I had to put two 50 ft hoses on the reel to cover my yard. They always seem to leak where they were joined together. With this 120 ft I have no couple to leak. The hose works well and seems to be well made

Best Garden Hose I've ever owned

I buy 2 or 3 of these each season, not because they wear out but because I am always finding needs for another hose. I have 13 acres and grow plants in several locations. I plan to put in some irrigation lines but in the meantime these hoses are just unbeatable to reach my trees and garden areas. The price is right. Some of the hoses are five years old and I've never had a leak or least bit of a problem. I love the comfortable coupling grips that are cool to the touch in this blistering Texas heat (you don't have to touch a metal coupling to disassemble to reassemble the hoses). I'm not sure what the complaints are about kinking except that the users aren't unrolling the hoses completely before using. Also some have complained that they are heavy. Well, they're 110 feet long and have a bit of weight to them but this is to be expected. Even so, I don't find them especially unwieldy, but if you insist on a lighter hose, buy a short cheap piece of junk somewhere else. As for me, I won't buy anything else but these.
