The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) updated Nutrition/Supplement Facts label based on updated scientific information and new nutrition research. This change went into effect January 2020 and was the first major update to the label in over 20 years. One of the updated impact the Percent Daily Value, which may make the value higher or lower on the new Nutrition Facts label. Changes you may notice include that if the new % Daily Value now shows that an ingredient amount is too high, the ingredient amount needed to be lowered to match the older % Daily Value.
