I've had 5 gallon buckets before, but these Sam's Club buckets leave all the others in the dust! These buckets can not only carry solids such as sand & soil, but also liquids such as water! They can be used as car-wash buckets, totes, and pet-feed storage! So versatile! So durable! They even have a small plastic guard on the wire handle! I'll never buy another 5 gallon bucket from anywhere else again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It holds 5 gallons of dirt, water, potting soil. The lid latches to prevent spilling. Its great for use in your garden, your pantry and even to store dog food, cat food or other feeds for animals. I use it to store my beans since I buy a lot.

Good bucket overall

The buckets are good but the lids that came with the ones I got do not fit well. The lids are just a tad too small to seal to the bucket as they should which allows gaps for moisture, mosquitos, air…to enter. In 2025 these were for sale in Sam’s as individual single buckets. It had a perfectly fitting lid. I am disappointed in the bucket lids in this set of 2. Be aware if a secure lid is important to you . I am able to put the lids on other 5 gallon buckets so it may be that it is the bucket rather than the lid that is the problem.
