It gets rid of those pesky lingering odors from cooking or pets. This product is water based and is propelled by a 100% natural propellant. The odor eliminator is also corn derived. I love this product. I have been using Febreze since it came out in 1998. I keep a can in the car, my closet and the bathrooms. It not only makes the house smell great but it eliminates orders. The Gain scent is my favorite. It’s a nice “clean laundry” scent. I definitely recommend this product.

The febreze air effects gain scent is my favorite!! I use it on my furniture to give my whole house a fresh, just washed smell. The scent isn't long lasting which is why I gave it 4 stars but it's great while it lasts. I've never experienced it leaving any residue.
