Excellent Notebook

I have always been an HP user it’s the only brand I will ever buy but are usually by pavilions I took a chance on this HP envy 360 2 in 1 and I absolutely love it in fact I love everything about it. It’s lightweight and very fast performance also with a great battery time. I love the backlit keyboard it’s something I never had before. The sound quality is better than any previous HP that I had. I like the 2-1 feature. I think this Notebook is one of the best I have had thus far and I have always paid so much more in the past. Highly Recommend.

Great Deal

Great deal on this one day only special pricing. Ordered 2 (limit of 5) but was only allowed one due to demand. Latest processor and plenty of memory and storage for what I need.

Nice unit

Got a good Black Friday deal and it appears to be worth it. Nice to be up to date again at least for a little while.

Know what it’s missing then buy informed

This is a powerful pc but missing features. It does not have Windows Hello facial ID capability. Also it does not support an active stylus/pen for windows ink. If you can live with those two facts it’s a good computer. I have not been able to confirm if you can add an SSD while keeping the existing 1TB hard drive. I don’t want to open it up.

Good for the money

I bought this laptop on nov 11, when they had a deal for $599, with i7 8550u, 12gb ram, 1tb 7200 rpm this is a good machine. good metallic body and thin. only thing it lacks is graphic card. the mother board do come with pci express m.2 slot for nvme m.2 ssd drive (i.e. samsung 960 evo/pro ssd), even though it say memory not rechable you can upgrade up to 16gb, but you need to buy 8gb module. 4gb module that it already has will be useless. but i think if you add a samsung 860 evo ssd and use samsung data migration tool to move from hard drive to ssd, then change booting option on bios, this will run pretty good.

Touchscreen malfuntioned on day two

I was so excited to receive this on Friday night. I set it up, started downloading pictures from my OneDrive, and the computer started going through some kind of never ending loop. After more than an hour I had to do an "end task" abort and shut down and restart. I shut down for the evening and next morning attempted to sign back in and the touchscreen malfunctioned, it behaved as if I was touching it when I wasn't. I called HP, the technician ran diagnostics and it was determined the touchscreen was defective. HP said my only option with them was to box it up, ship it back and wait 4-6 week for repair. I called Sam's Club.com and was told my only other option is to return it to Sam's Club for refund (No exchange) because they are out of stock online. To return it and reorder later I will miss out on the discount I received for purchasing it with the special one-day sale price. I am disappointed to say the least.

Yet another overpriced paperweight!

This laptop was to be a replacement for the problematic HP laptop I bought four years ago. That one had connectivity issues, whether hardwired or wireless, just over a month out of warranty. My hope was that a more expensive machine would have higher quality components, resulting in less problems. Within the first hour of taking it out of the box, I started having problems. During the setup, the screen was experiencing 'ghost touches', as shown in the photo. This created havoc, as screens would minimize/maximize, tabs would be opened, selections made, and the screen would zoom, all on its own. Because this was part of the one day sale at Sam's Club, there were no other laptops available to replace it with. After spending about 90 mins with HP support, I finally thought the problems were resolved. But the very next day, the issue continued, so I once again reached out to HP for help. They suggested I send the computer in for service, a mere 3 days after it was taken out of the package. In addition, I would have to pay for the shipping, although the rep was quick to suggest he might be able to waive the fee since I told him I was returning the unit and saying goodbye to HP for good. There are two inherent problems here, the first being lousy quality of (supposedly) premium HP products, both past and present. The second is the cavalier attitude HP takes with their customers. I was irritated that after spending 3 hours with HP support to fix my new computer, that I would have to pay to get it serviced. But I was thoroughly upset to see how quickly they backtrack, insisting on 'testing the waters' to see whether they could get the customer to spring for shipping. There is such a thing as good customer service, and HP doesn't have it. If the problems with the computer began my consideration of other manufacturers, the customer service drove the nail on the coffin. I am returning this laptop today and when it goes, so will my connection with HP. My advice is to look for another brand entirely.
