I bought this mattress based on extensive research and long standing reviews. I thought I was a side sleeper since I begin that way but my ex told me I am actually a back sleeper. I am happy to announce that this is the best mattress for combination sleepers. I also needed a new mattress due to severe lower back pain. After getting this, my back pain is gone. Now I know it really was from my old bed! It took me exactly 1 to 2 nights to get used to it but now that I have adjusted I sleep so soundly. And wake up pain free! The worst part is getting up in the morning when the bed is so comfortable. Also I love the sheet sets!!

We ordered the original mattress and haven't looked back since. I don't have the best back and have sciatic issues at times and this mattress makes everything better. Does what it says it does and it is beyond comfortable with us. We were given free sheets when we ordered our mattress, the sheets are really soft and stretchy, but don't combat heat like they claim and ended up tearing after 2 weeks. However, the mattress PROTECTOR is a must-have-it has protected our mattress to no end and still does it's job; if you are planning on getting this mattress make sure you get the mattress protector. I am giving the review and rating based solely in the mattress itself and the mattress protector since that is what I specifically purchased and the sheets were free. Had I been rating the sheets, I would give it 2/5 as we were disappointed with those, but NOT the mattress or the mattress protector.

When our mattress first arrived, it was chaos because we could not find the inside packet containing the purple wrap cutter. It was not there. No worries. Once it was open, there was a slight odor but it went away in a few minutes. The bed frame was pretty easy to assemble. The mattress expands almost immediately. I put the Purple mattress cover on, then the Purple sheets. OK so these sheets felt absolutely amazing, so cool to the touch and so soft. But I went to sleep, and amazingly woke up this morning without a single ache in my shoulders, neck, or back!! This has not happened in a very long time. It was only the first night but I am in love. My husband is still indifferent, but he can sleep on or through anything. The only thing I would add is to make sure you have help for the larger sizes such as Queen or king. Ours is a king and my husband and I are in our early 50s in relativity good shape. It was a little struggle to get the mattress inside, through the house, and then onto the frame due to its weight. But if you're on the fence because you can't "try before you buy," this mattress is great regardless of your preferred sleep position. Go for it!

This was everything we promised. I am recovering from back surgery and my wife was pregnant at the time we purchased. We got twin xl and both have loved it. Past our 100 days and its still just as nice as when we bought it. I only wish they offered there sheets in another color than purple. Cause there sheets are awesome when it comes to temperature control

I'm giving this review because I'm a tummy sleeper and was told that sleeping on your stomach isn't good for your body but it's the way I have slept or sometimes on my side but always ended up on my stomach. Last night was my first night sleeping on the original purple mattress and just woke up and to my shock I just woke up on my back! My first thought was I never sleep on my back! But to my surprise my back feels so good that I don't want to get up because my back doesn't hurt, I hurt my back 2 years ago and it has gotten better but sometimes will start to hurt again especially in the mornings when I wake up but I'm laying here with no back pain what so ever! So I hope this means I have found the perfect mattress. I will update my review on a later date but for now I don't want to get out of my purple!

I'm 33, male, side sleeper with bad sleeping habits (blue screen before bed, inconsistent sleep time, etc.) and constantly wake up during the night. This mattress has been incredible - it's firm but comfortable, cradling your pain points and joints so well when you sleep on your side. Highly recommend it.

It was a weird start, not your typical cozy bed feel at all. But our sleep was fabulous... so we got used to it! I wish it could be a little thicker, it's a skinnier mattress than your standard size... but it's not a deal breaker. We feel supported (side and back sleepers) and don't wake up with achey backs! We had a sterns and foster, then tried a Brooklyn bedding and then finally a purple.. and purple is the winner! Even better their customer service sent us a brand new mattress when our first one was damaged in shipping.. at no charge... AND let us keep the damaged one which we gifted to a friend in need. Very satisfied

So my wife and I had been trying to find a bed for some time. We had many friends recommend the Purple Bed. So I ordered it and got it in the mail fairly quickly. We had the bed for almost 50 days and we just weren't getting the sleep we needed. I contacted Purple Bed and they scheduled a company to come pick up our Purple Bed and refunded the FULL amount back to us. Even though the bed wasn't for us this company is a great company and do what they say they will do. Thanks Purple Bed.

review many mattresses before choosing purple. my wife is 8month pregnant so she has to sleep on her side. purple mattress really made the quality of our life better. i bought the purple pillow hoping it would be good just like the mattress. very impressive. i wake up with no neck pain now. really a fan of purple. hope they make mattress for babys

I spent weeks reading online reviews and watching YouTube comparisons for online mattresses before making a purchase. I was unsure about ordering one without testing it first and had even visited the Casper store in NYC to see what all the hype was about. But, everywhere I researched...by far all the reviews kept showing Purple as one of the top 3 consumer picks. I read their website in detail, watched all of their commercials, and after a lot of comparison shopping finally bought a king size Purple mattress (frame and cover too). IT.IS.INCREDIBLE. We like a softer mattress but always ended up sinking into the middle over time causing all sorts of aches and pains. Those issues vanished once the new Purple arrived. We even spent a few weekends traveling and noticed a huge difference in how comfortable our bed was at home compared to others. It has been a great purchase and I would highly recommend Purple to anyone looking for a new mattress.
