If you are still thinking about buying this mattress, at least just give it a try! At first I was not sold on this mattress. Actually, after couple of days I was convinced I will be returning it because I felt like my back pain got worse (takes time to adjust) and I couldn't get over the grid (waffle) feeling of this mattress. But my husband convinced me to give it more time. My back got better after time but I wanted to try another mattress. I thought there is something better. After sleeping on another mattress for couple of days we went back to purple which we still had (thankfully didn't return it yet). Another mattress made me realize that purple is amazing. I am actually looking forward to getting to bed every night. My husband loves it too. Now I just have to figure out how I am going to take my purple while going on vacations ;). Btw, we have purple 4. It's soft but super supportive at the same time. Also, our son loved our mattress so much that we got him the original purple for him and he is sleeping better as well.

The Purple Mattress is as good as they claim it to be. You know how your body feels when you fall asleep hard and don't move for several hours? You hip and shoulder both hurt from the pressure points. I have none of this with the Purple Mattress. I'll be honest, it felt a little weird the first time I laid down on it. It seemed too soft and squishy. And I could feel the grid pattern underneath the cover. Then after a night you discover that it is some how soft only in the exact spot you need it. Everywhere else is perfectly supported.

First thing I have to say is BUY THE SHEETS. They are seriously the best sheets on the planet in the history of sheets. For real real. We got the original purple mattress in a king and so far we are very happy. We have had it going on close to a month, and were kind of nervous about the price and whether or not the reviews are legit or if it was just another overhyped internet PR thing. The mattress itself is weird. Not in a bad way, it is firm and soft at the same time. The backbone of the mattress definately has plenty of support for someone about 200 lbs. The grid at the top is extremely soft. So ypu are comfortable but supported at the same time. Overall its pretty great. My only "complaint" if you want to call it that, is that I wish the comfort grid was about 1" thicker. Its so nice it leaves you wanting more. After laying down for awhile you can feel where the grid ends and the support layer begins. Its not bad, but it makes you wish the grid went on forever. You can feel points like your shoulder and hip bone "bottom out" against the firmer layer underneath. Like I said, this isnt uncomfortable per se, but It the grid is so nice its distracting having points of your body "left out" of the main event. All things considered as long as it holds up after I give it some time, My next mattress will definately be another purple.

So far sleeping on our Purple has been just okay. When we unrolled it, it wasn't air tight and the bed never really filled out the cover it came in (the one that says purple stitched on the sides). We gave it time to fill out and the cover remains baggy over the mattress. It does not look like the matress in the pictures. Sleeping on it feels okay, but the sides are not reinforced so it just looks smashed down. The sides do not look rectangular like the pictures on the website. So far I'd say I am a little disappointed with the look and the feel is just okay. The support is decent, and my back doesn't hurt so that is a plus.

There's no doubt that the purple mattress is a comfortable mattress. The convenience of ordering and having it delivered was great as well. However for the price tag I don't find it to be a product worth keeping or recommending. The mattress I had prior to Purple was half the price and equally as comfortable. Had the price point been lower I would have been far more enticed to purchase a second.

The Matress wasn't bad. It felt somehow soft and firm at the same time,which I like. What I didn't like was that I could feel the grid underneath me and the there was not edge to speak of. What really got me though was the smell. The website way undersold the rubbery smell, it was not a "Slight nutty aroma". It was overpowering and stayed around for more than 2 weeks. For me, that is a deal breaker.

I think my biggest letdown was, somehow I thought this process would be easier than the old way. Easy is going to the mattress store, ordering a mattress and having people come in a truck, take it inside and set it up for you on a frame. I've done it and it was less expensive. Sadly, this was a horrible process. Getting the 140 pound mattress into our bedroom (WITHOUT the frame which came 2 weeks later) was crazy. Then, setting up the bed frame and then getting the mattress off of the floor and onto it (after putting the frame together, yay) was was ridiculous. So... it all seems fine but I never would have done it knowing what I now know.

I bought the Purple mattress in part because of the reviews I read about how much it had helped with people's back pain. Unfortunately that is not the case with me. I have had the mattress almost a month and my low back pain has never been worse. I am usually a side sleeper but I'm having to force myself to try and sleep on my back to reduce the pain. Needless to say, I'm not getting much sleep at all. I am planning to return the mattress once the mandatory 30 day trial period is up.

We are still within the 21 days of trying it out. I have woken up every morning a bit sore in the back. I called after the first week to place my complaint but was told I had to wait at least 21 days. I still am experiencing back pain when waking up. .
