My girlfriend and I were very excited to order our new Purple mattress but we were skeptical because this has been our third new mattress in the last six years. We both have back issues and our previous mattresses caused us a lot of back pain and misery. We researched the Purple mattress and were hopeful that the reviews we read were accurate. After receiving the mattress two weeks ago we have been very happy with the results so far. Both of us used to toss and turn all night and woke up feeling like hadn't slept a wink. We both seem to be sleeping more throughout the night and are mostly pain free. Thank you for a great product! We would recommend this mattress to everyone.

I'm a roller, I sleep on all sides. I have had chronic back pain for about 45 years. I'm extra large, about 270 pounds. My mattress order included free Purple Sheets, which were backordered. By chance I put my only set of Cariloha bamboo sheets on the new mattress. We didn't get a mattress protector because we wanted to get maximum benefit of the air circulation. Before I fell asleep, I was already wishing I ordered the Purple pillows. Next morning I woke up with back pain as per usual. But, instead of the usual stiff joints and tense muscles I had loose joints and relaxed muscles, with some soreness, just as if I'd seen a good masseuse yesterday! I rolled to the edge of the bed, swung my legs out, sat and stood up in one continuous motion. This is great. Over the next two weeks the soreness diminished. The chronic back pain is still there, of course. I didn't expect a miracle, just a good night's sleep. After that we ordered Purple pillows and seat cushions. I love this stuff. I held off on a review until we made a 5 state road trip and a plane trip. One night on a new memory foam mattress was great until I woke up in a sweat about 4 or 5 AM. Those pillow top mattresses are nice, until I get up and my shoulder or hip is stiff, and my back aches more than usual. Now that I'm home sleeping on Purple again, I'm waking up with limber joints and relaxed muscles, and rolling out of bed without stretching. I don't know if Purple can help your back, but I think you owe it to yourself to find out.

I bought my King size Purple mattress nearly two years ago. First, some background information. We had a Tempurpedic before that and we would wake up with numbness and tingling in our shoulders, arms and hips. I'm 6'2" and 220 pounds. My wife is 5'0" and 105 pounds. We live in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. I am a side sleeper primarily and I struggle to fall asleep on my back unless I'm utterly exhausted (and even then I end up on my side eventually). My wife is what would probably be called a combo sleeper. She'll sleep on her side to spoon with me but she primarily falls asleep on her back and at times she sleeps on her stomach as well. When we got the Purple mattress, I immediately loved it. It's so cool to the touch (we both sleep relatively hot). My wife didn't love it right away but she didn't hate the Tempurpedic as much as I did either so she just went with it for me. About a year into having the mattress I started to have the same issues as the Tempurpedic. I had numbness and pain in my shoulders and hips. And my lower back would hurt. My wife started to have lower back pain too. So, we decided to spin the mattress around to see if that would help. And for a while, it did. But it's as though the mattress wears out or starts to sag easier under our weight. I do tend to sleep close to the side and sometimes my wife will curl up next to me, so maybe we are putting too much weight on one side. Today we finally bought another mattress after two years. If anything above sounds like you, I recommend you pass.

The review title pretty much sums it up. It had been way too long since we replaced our mattress. My wife and I were both routinely waking up with a sore back and neck from sleeping on a mattress we've been given years ago and that sagged in the middle. So, we decided it was time to upgrade. We couldn't be happier! Well, actually we would be just a little happier if our two cats, who also recently decided to sleep on our purple mattress at night, would use their own cat beds instead and not take up so much space.

We bought a purple bed about a month ago. The comfort level is awesome, I can go from my back to laying on my side with no issues when I wake up. However, the mattress is hot! At first, we thought it might be the mattress cover so we took it off. I still wake up super hot in the morning ,however, and that's even with my air conditioning and fan on. Super comfortable, but does sleep hot.

Mattress is great. I am sleeping well. But make SURE you have someone to help you with it. They leave it at your door. The delivery man actually began RUNNING away when I asked for help. I ended up needing to call two more men plus myself to get it to the room where I needed to unwrap it. Then needed the extra help to unwrap and set it up. Hey Purple people - the mattress is great - why not do a better job of getting it set up!

First, I greatly enjoy this bed. It's comfortable, different than any mattress I've ever laid on and maintains a wonderful temperature. I'm also extremely happy that the back pain I've been experiencing for an embarrassingly long time is now gone. My only gripe is that I'm not a light person and I wish it was just ... maybe a bit over an inch thicker overall. Just enough that when I crawl into bed I'm not aware that I'm completely compressing the mattress. The frame (other than being kind of a pain to assemble by yourself) is very handy for under-bed storage. To get to my point, while no product is 100% perfect for everyone I am very satisfied with this bed.

I have wanted the Purple bed for two years since I have major back problems. I couldnt afford the payment. My married son bought one and when he bragged about his I said I just cannot wait any longer,I love my purple bed. now , I sleep all night and I wake up with no backache . I wish I could afford the new pillow too, Maybe someday Thank You

I am sleeping much better with the purple mattress. I did have to purchase slats that fit the required specs suggested by Purple on their FAQ page. It made a HUGE difference. When the slats were to far apart the purple mattress was wavy, but once I purchased more slats to fit the required specs it flat and smooth. One of the best beds I have ever owned

I had a great experience with my Original purple mattress, however; it is not the right mattress for me. I have had issues with my back for years, I am a side sleeper, and can never get comfortable enough. For the first couple of months I thought the bed was heavenly, until about the 6 month mark if having the bed and feeling like my back was supinating, more or less sinking in the bed . Literally not even being able to fall asleep. There are not enough pillows to make this mattress to put behind my back to make this bed firm enough. For my other half who can sleep on a cardboard box and be happy, he is just fine. Me on the other hand, I am sleeping in on guest bedroom until we can get a firmer mattress. I hope this helps someone.
