I sleep solidly. On old bed, I ended up rolling around a few times per night to get comfortable. I've slept through the night on my back and on my side - depending on how I started the night. That's fabulous! I had forgotten what sleeping through the night felt like and just assumed I was getting older and had to deal with it.

This is by far the best mattress I have ever purchased. And it was a lot cheaper than I was planning on paying for a king size bed. I don't wake up sore anymore and the mattress does not retain heat like my old one did. My wife and I are beyond happy with this purchase!

I believe that the purple mattress is comfortable laying on but when waking up in the morning my back tends be to sore. I tried laying in the basic model at a store so I could see if I'd like it in person and I loved it. I went home and ordered a basic model in king size. Once I got it home it felt significantly more firm. I went back to the store to see if it was a different model but it wasn't, it was just a queen size. So I don't know if size would have a difference on how firm each mattress is, but I can say that the large basic model is more firm than the queen size basic model.

Do not be fooled by the hype that Purple mattresses seem to carry with them Firstly, their mattresses themselves are very cheaply made and WILL bulge or sag after only a year or two. And when the mattress sags, purple will deny your warrantee. Their business model favors policy over the customer, which means that you as the customer assume any and all risk when buying anything from Purple. They enforce warrantee denials with militant rigidity, proving that their "warantee" promise is nothing more than a cash grab for greedy executives and an upsell that ends up being useless. This means that once a mattress leaves them, they essentially wash their hands of it forever. BEWARE ANY stain on the mattress whatsoever completely voids your warrantee. No exceptions, no circumstances, period In addition, Purple makes exaggerated claims that their mattresses relieve back pain. As someone with two herniated discs in the L4 and L5 regions I didn't have any relief from my back pain in the three years that I had used their mattress, often waking up numb from the waist down. My experience with purple is that I had fallen victim to an overhyped but underperforming cheaply made mattress and a very questionable business model that failed to deliver when it mattered most and leaves you with an experience of taking your money and only leaving you with simply "too bad" in return. I will never buy another mattress from Purple and I strongly advise you to reconsider the hype and quality it is presented with because all it proves to be is smoke and mirrors nothing more.

Best sleep of my life! Not exaggerating. Only thing I regret is not getting this bed sooner. I've seen in past reviews where people said the mattress smelt like chemicals and yes it does because it come wrapped in a bunch of plastic. What do you expect. But it goes away and to each their own. Don't let it stop you from getting this awesome bed!

I had a nice memory foam mattress for a few years but unfortunately I was starting to wake up with what felt like pressure pain on my back (I am most a back sleeper but sometimes on side also). I went looking for a new mattress late last year. I tried a hybrid memory/coils and didn't feel much difference compared to my solely memory foam mattress and most importantly I woke up with achey back also. So after looking around some more I started to look at the purple. The grid intrigued me and after a while I ordered one. I have been using it for a bit over a month and will be keeping it. I wondered if it would feel weird to sleep on something like the purple grid but I don't really notice it much. The material is pretty soft and shapes to your body. You can feel it with your hand if you slide it around the mattress. You kind of sink in but you bounce a bit and get support so it's not like those plush pillow top mattresses. The grid is responsive as they say. When you move around it immediately adjust to your body so it's different than memory foam in that sense. Another of the advertised features of the purple is that it is a cool mattress because of the grid. I haven't noticed it becoming overly warm during the night so I would say that's accurate as well. Two nitpicks I have are that it feels heavier than my memory foam mattress (I like to rotate my mattress every few weeks so one side doesn't wear out faster than the other) and the corners could use more support. I wouldn't suggest you sit on the corner. Overall, I like the purple mattress. I am mainly a back sleeper as I mentioned and I don't wake up with pressure pain or a stiff back on it so for me it's a keeper.

Very disappointed in this mattress. I have fibromyalgia and heard it would be great for me. If I sleep on the very edge, it's great. But the middle of the mattress is very firm and the sides slope down. You can't sleep on your side without feeling like you are falling off. Super sad with the quality.

We like it pretty well. It does stay cool particularly with the purple sheets. It would be nice if you had a little elevation in the head/foot areas or maybe a way to adjust the base a little for the same effects. Another suggestion would be to incorporate the side sleeper arm spoon slit...I get zombie a from the side spooning and I would think you could maybe do a zipper seam on the bottom in a few rows for that option? Overall love the bed!!!

so I have on the bed for two months now and still have lower back pain but the bed is very comfortable and I do get a very good night sleep on it I also sleep with one pillow which is a Tempur-pedic pillow otherwise that I have no complaints The bed keeps me very cool and comfortable throughout the night

My 79-year-old mother purchased this mattress after tons of research to find the best mattress for her needs. She has been sleeping on Purple for two weeks now. After waking up for years with a backache when trying to get out of bed, she is pain-free. She has always had to get up before she really wanted to because her back was hurting. Now she doesn't want to get out of bed. She also has a bad hip which caused her pain to lay on and now she is able to lay on it with no pain. She wakes up less at night and doesn't toss and turn because of pain. She said it is the best mattress she has ever had!
