We replaced our not-so-old tuft & needle mattress with a purple near the end of august after my wife started complaining about back problems because the tuft was too firm for side-sleeping. First impressions were that it felt weird, but not the bad weird we were worried about. More like that good-kinda weird that you get when you sit in one of those rubber-mesh-like chairs that just kinda cups and supports you everywhere... but in bed form. because this is a bed. Both of us slept fine that first night with a little tossing and turning to figure out good positions, but it was still better than we'd been getting for the last couple months with the tuft. Fast-forward 3 months and the purple is still going strong. Haven't had any issues with it since getting used to the mattress and it would take quite a bit to convince me to try a different traditional mattress again.

At first I wasn't sure if I would love the purple mattress, I've been sleeping on spring my whole life. But the "pressure point relief" line really got to me and it's true, I could tell immediately when I didn't have the same pain in my shoulders and hips while trying to fall asleep or when I wake up! I'm a side sleeper, and I seem to wake up on my back, while my husband does both as well. After a couple of months, I don't have any complaints and I'm more comfortable in bed than I've been in years. My back pain is lessened (a bed can't totally fix the way I sit all day at work!). One thing that was weird is the size, we have a queen platform bed and our old queen mattress fit right in with an inch to spare at the sides, but the purple mattress has to be squeezed into the frame. I worried at first it wouldn't fit at all!

I've heard nothing but great things about the purple bed from friends and family. I took a chance and bought the purple bed without even laying on one to test it out due to it's uniqueness. Well I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I can't begin to explain how much more rested I feel! And without any back pain! I highly recommend.

Unfortunately I will be returning the mattress after I hit the 21 days which is the minimum amount of time you're required to have it before you can initiate a return/refund. After 2 weeks of sleeping on it I just can't get use to the feeling of laying on jello. It is too unstable and jiggly and feels like a waterbed in some ways. I also do not like feeling the grid/squares while laying down, it's quite a nuisance. I need a solid stable mattress. So I will be going back to a traditional innerspring mattress which suits me well. Make no mistake, this seems to be a high quality mattress but it just isn't for me.

How was our overall experience using the item? Terrible. I would have given zero stars if that was an option. After investing in the original purple, we found that it was causing new explainable back and shoulder issues - so to give Purple a second try, we decided to purchase the much more expensive Purple 3. It is currently 2/11/2019 and we have been "cancelled and rescheduled" for delivery for the 9th time since our purchase (the original promised delivery date being 1/23/2019).. We have over $4,500 sitting at Purple, and have not gotten confirmation as to why items cannot be delivered, when we can anticipate them, and have been told by three different supervisors that "they will do everything to correct this issue by tomorrow". We were "guaranteed" that it would be delivered and the old mattress picked up on 2/10/2019, and as of 30 minutes ago, they will hopefully get it delivered "sometime this week". The first supervisor we spoke with said he would get it to us ASAP and that we would get a call back. When WE called back the following Monday, it was found that he was out of the office on Holiday and wouldn't be returning. So, another Gal named Georgia took over. She indicated that this was unacceptable and that she would personally take care of this and get it delivered to us by the end of the weekend. Surprise, that didn't happen. Today we spoke with another supervisor who indicated they would in fact not be able to deliver on the guaranteed day due to weather ( it's Michigan, but we have no precipitation and clear roads) - but indicated they should maybe get it delivered this week at some point. We have taken 3 half days of vacation to be at the house when they have scheduled their deliveries - and still no mattress. We are now asking for a cancellation of the Purple 3 and to finish the return on the Original and we've been told, once again, that "they will call us back". This has been a very expensive, irritating, and disappointing process for a guaranteed service and product that gives this company their "great reputation". Sorry, but Purple might have a decent product, but they continue to fail at delivering. We would like our entire purchase (both) refunded, our order modified to "cancelled" and this Purple mattress that has been waiting on your pickup for a month out of our house and this whole nightmare over with. Please, do yourself a favor an don't waste your time or money with this company.

My previous bed was a memory foam mattress. I struggled to sleep in it and often found myself moving to the couch at night. Seriously, I look forward to going to my purple mattress. The pillows are 2nd to none. Cool and extremely comfortable. Loving it.

Shipping & communication was a problem. Waited all day at the house on the delivery date. See it was 20 minutes away at 1 pm, finally called at 730 pm and was told the truck wouldn't be unloaded till the next morning. Then it was sent to a. Shipping s3nter further away only to be then delivered back to me. Since I wasn't going to be home, asked that it be left at the front door so I could get it inside by myself. Nope, came home to find it at the end of the drive / bottom of my front steps! Not impressed at all by the lack of customer service & poor communication. Luckily, the mattress is everything it's advertised to be.

As soon as I lie down I'm asleep. I can even sleep on my arm as it perfectly sinks in just enough for me to stay on my side the whole night. When on my back the mattress fills in the gaps and it feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. My husband has back problems and it has alleviated any pain from sleeping on a poor mattress. It's worth every penny!

We purchased a king size Purple Mattress 9.5 months ago, and it has started to develop body indentions already. We have had various kinds of foam mattresses for the last 30 years, and they have all developed the body indentions, but the Purple Mattress has done so the quickest of all the foam mattresses we have owned. We were hoping it would not do like the other mattress we have owned based on the "scientific claims" the company made, but it has been an expensive lesson. As the saying goes: "live and learn".

I can't say enough good things about this bed. I have been sleeping AMAZING every night, and wake up feeling well rested. I am rarely tired througout my day like I used to be with my previous mattress. And my favorite position to use with the adjustable mattress frame is Zero Gravity. It cradles me right to sleep. The only thing I am not a fan of are the bed sheets it came with. Other than that, I would definitely order another mattress from Purple.
