Hubby had a birthday, so I bought him the seat cushion (not even the expensive one). He'd been griping about his posterior pain whenever we'd arrive home from our long commutes from work. Well, this is one gift I will definitely give again! Hubby is happy, and I even use the cushion at home sometimes while working at my computer. We love it!

We absolutely love the mattress! It is everything we expected in feel and comfort. However, it is important to note that the way the mattress is constructed it has curved in sides from bottom to top. So, the actual sleeping surface is 1 to 2 inches shorter than the advertised measurements. After recieving one mattress that was clearly cut too short in both width and length we had it replaced with one that was better, but still had the curved in sides. So, I assume this is intentional in the manufacturing process as it does appear that the top layer of hyper-elastic polymer material is 1 to 2 inches shorter in both length and width than the other two layers. This is a great mattress and I would highly recommend it to most poeple, but I think Purple is not delivering quite what they promise, especially for taller people like myself. I usually have no problem sleeping on a queen bed, but the the king Purple mattress presents some challenges for me.

I've had it but a week and while it was quite a workout to get it upstairs by myself, once in place it is heavenly. I find I sleep more soundly, move less and do not fell my partner moving about either. I got just the mattress and put it on my existing platform. I don't see the need for "stretchy" sheets. Thank you for making this fantastic bed.

I have really enjoyed sleeping on this mattress. It is soft yet firm and supportive, balances weight really well. My only complaint is that the mattress does retain heat. I tend to sleep hot so after 4 or 5 hours, I end up moving around to find a cool spot. Other than that, I would say it's perfect!

I received my purple mattress today. I was horrified after laying on it an hour that my clothes and hair smelled like what I can only describe as cat urine odor. I sniffed the purple and I turned green. My kids walked in and held their nose and ran out. I do not own any pets. I immediately contacted Purple and got sent an email to take a picture. What? Exactly what does a picture of an odor look like? I'm curious. What is this chemical on my hair and clothes and now filled up my home smelling like cat urine. Im going to call my State attorney General and find out what chemical my family is being expised to by Friday if Purple doesn't help me immediately remove this cat odor mattress from my home and refund me immediately.

I have had the original Purple for about a month or so. It doesn't seem to be firm enough for me. Some increased neck and back discomfort over my conventional mattress. I might recommend trying the new Purple 3 described as "firm " for older patients with neck or back issues. Thanks

Had I known how this would change the energy in my life I would have happily paid double for this mattress. The marketing is witty and intelligent, but the informed consumer knows its still a gamble. Trust me when I tell you Purple is selling sound and comfortable sleep that lasts throughout the night. Nothing aches anymore. Coffee is no longer necessary. Going to bed is a pleasure again. THe best comparison I can give you is this: Purple is to mattresses as the iPhone is to cellular phones. Bravo, Purple. Thank you!

I was sleeping on an 8in foam futon mattress before purple. It was in rough shape; super lumpy, firm, dipped in the middle. Yet, my body had grown accustomed to each odd lump of that cheap, old mattress. After finally pulling the trigger on a mattress upgrade, the purple mattress was at the top of the list. I didn't actually try any other kind. Upon my first lay down on the flexible grid it was a magic, weightlessness while still being firm in the right places. . Like a water bed without the weirdness of feeling like you are on the sea! I'll admit, it took my contorted body a few weeks to get used to the new mattress. I was sore in places I wasn't sore before but I trusted it was for the best and it was simply allowing my body to relax back to the way it was meant to be. Now I sleep deeply, comfortably, and wake without aches. Trust the power of purple!

The Purple mattress was the first foam mattress I've slept on. I chose this one because of the cooler temps when sleeping and I loved it when I had the chance to check it out in the local mattress store. My back specialist said that individuals with bad backs most often benefit from medium firm mattresses, and the Purple is just it! It feels great to climb into (I'm 125 lbs) and my back has felt the best it has in years after a couple of weeks of sleeping on it. I haven't slept on my side in a year because of pain, and now I can comfortably sleep on my side, stomach, or back (I change throughout the night). I definitely would recommend it and am soon purchasing one for our guest bedroom. The only "issue" I had was set up.... the layers of plastic, which are necessary I assume to pack the mattress, are very hard to cut through. I was so scared of cutting all the way through the mattress cover. The razor cutter tool that was supplied to help cut open the purple shipping bag had slipped to the other side, so it wasn't helpful at all. I'd recommend somehow adhering it to the top of the roll for ease of access. It's also very heavy. So set up wasn't as easy as the instructional videos suggest, but that is a minor issue considering I only have to do it once.

This is far and away the best bed on the market. "Purple " really is a perfect blend of support and cushion. It allows the heavier parts of your body to sink in a little while evenly distributing your entire body weight. Most beds feel great when you first get in them, but when you wake up in the morning, you feel stiff and sore. I have had the purple for a few months now, and I wake up every morning and I have no more back pain. I work in the glass industry and heavy lifting is part of the job.
