I've been not sleeping well for a while and really needed a new mattress. I looked around at all the current options. Your video and several testimonials online sold me on Purple and I was very excited to try it out. In short, it's just too firm for us. It doesn't have any give and we feel a lot of pressure on our shoulders and hips. My wife couldn't sleep at all so she went and got a 3" gel-foam pad to go on top. That seems to be doing okay right now. I know we had a 100 night guarantee, but I don't really want to mess with returning it and finding something else. We'll see how it goes for a few more weeks.

I work strange hours so I need a mattress that is comfortable. This mattress is an answer to my prayers. I have no problem falling asleep and staying that way. It's a firmer mattress but comfortable while supportive. It's been 3 months now and I have no regrets. Best purchase ever.

My partner and I travel a lot for work and pleasure. We sleep on lots of different beds and our Purple bed makes us long for home. 2 or 3 days away from the purple bed and backs are aching. Purple bed sleep is amazing, no pressure points and sleeps cool.

I got this matress couple weeks ago. So far we like it. Our old matress was starting giving up backpain, shoulder pain, and hips pain as well. The purple matress helps us very much, within few weeks our backpain, hips pain, and shoulders pain are starting to disappeared. We love it. My concern is I found that it's very hot and I've been sweating more with purple matress. We did purchased the matress cover and I don't know why I'm sweating more than I normally do with this matters. It says that it should give more cool in a hot summer day, but I didn't feel that way. I have the breathable sheet, but it doesn't help. Overall, I like the mattress and it is very comfortable as supporting our body.

My teenager was really set on having a Purple so 3 years ago we bought the first. It has worn really well so when it was time for me to get a new bed I went back to purple. I enjoy how much its helped my joints... much less hip pain so I wake and roll less.

i sold matresses for 6 years and so i knew it was a gamble to order one i'd never laid on, felt eith my own body... but the risk was so worth the reward! i am an everything but my back sleepver and my husband is an everything sleeper and we're both on the heavy side but this thing holds up! gives you support where you need it and leniancy where you don't. it's not hot like some memory foams i've come across in the past. some people might look at the price point and be wary but it is worth every penny and if you're still having a hard time talking yourself into it.... how much would you spend for a really good nights sleep ... every night.... for the next 8 to 12 years?

I have arthritic hip pain that wakes me every night. Since I've been sleeping on my Purple mattress, I haven't been awaken once with pain. I'm actually rested when I arise and start my day. Thank you, Purple mattress people. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a restful nights sleep.

My husband and I bought the original purple mattress on recommendation from friends who love theirs. After our first week I wasn't so sure I liked it, I would wake up with my arms numb and it felt much firmer then my friends mattress when we tried it. Nevertheless, I wanted to give it a few more weeks. I haven't woken up with numb arms after the first week and I'm actually starting to enjoy sleeping on the mattress, so maybe my body just needed to adjust to it. You can feel the waffle texture of the mattress, but that doesn't bother my husband or myself. I do think this mattress is more firm than not. I would recommend buying the sheets and mattress protector. The newer version sheets are divine! We also bought the platform bed and really like that as well. We've only had the mattress for a month, so I can't say how well it holds up in the long run.

Do Not Upgrade to the new Purple series. My husband & I did the 100 day trial on the Original Purple. He really like it and I liked it too, but I wanted to LOVE it. Finally, as the days were running out on my trial period, I bit the bullet to return my Original Purple and buy the Purple 4 instead. Unfortunately there is NO trial period beyond the first mattress. I asked for even just 30 days and they said they couldn't. So I took a big risk, especially considering how expensive the new series is, and boy it Did Not Pay Off. I am waking up in agony on my new P4. I miss my Original Purple. It wasn't perfect but I wasn't crying; Yes I am crying now... looking at the next 10 years of my life sleeping on the P4. The gel layer is great, but 4 inches of it is way too squishy; not enough support. The coil base was supposed to be more supportive than the foam base AND the deeper gel grid was supposed to be less pressure on your joints when you side sleep. I have not found either to be true. The joint comfort/discomfort is the same, while back sleeping on the P4 is impossible. I really am devastated and implore all Original Purple owners to hold on to what you've got.

I wish the top layer was deeper. I wish it was more like 3 inches and not just 2. Overall I am very pleased with the bed. I bought the sheets and mattress protector too. I hear so much about how other bed purchasers are unhappy with their mattresses, but not me. I am very happy with the whole experience.
