My new replacement mattress smells so bad I can't use it. I have it a room with fans blowing and I hope the smell will go away. My first purple mattress has a slight smell, but didn't smell as horrible as this replacement mattress. Did the Purple company change the way the mattress is made??? I don't know if I will ever be able to use this new mattress because the smell is so terrible. I'm very disappointed. Janet Ernst

We had been watching the purple videos pop up on facebook and then saw the great reviews the purple mattress got on sleepopolis...and decided to give it a try. I've never, ever wanted to tell other people about my mattress before, and I feel like I can't STOP telling people about our purple. Quite simply, we had no idea how well we could sleep, how comfortable and well-rested we would feel, until this mattress arrived. I love our purple mattress!

Good things: The price was competitive. The delivery was quick. The packaging was excellent. The mattress was very heavy. You need to be careful and have some help with 140 pound mattress. We believe this is a seriously well made product. We were really looking forward to a better night of sleep. The difficult part: In recent years my spouse has developed extremely unstable asthma and severe allergies. This is a key reason we sought to replace our existing mattress. While reading the setup instructions we discovered the information about the powder. An advantage we hoped to gain by avoiding conventional mattress material disappeared at that moment. I am not able to operate a vacuum cleaner when she is at home. There is no way I can risk opening this mattress and exposing her to the powder used in production and packaging. For this reason, with a great deal of regret, the packaging was not opened and the mattress was returned. I must add that the support staff at Purple was extremely polite and helpful. They made the return process as simple and painless as possible. As a company, I remain impressed with Purple and their high level of friendly customer service. Our daughter has a Purple mattress and loves everything about it. I would recommend Purple to anyone, however I would include the awareness for the powder as a factor they deserve to understand and consider during the shopping process.

I've been sleeping on the original purple and purple sheets for about 2 weeks now. While it does sleep cooler than my old memory foam mattress, it's not great in general. Overall it feels like sleeping on a regular spring mattress. Not very comfortable. And the purple sheets are awful, they are basically spandex. At least they came free, I would've been very upset had I bought those.

We shopped for a "mattress in a box" for a few weeks and decided to give Purple a try due to it's awesome advertising campaign, specifically the egg test. When we got the mattress installed, we were immediately satisfied with our choice. It really isn't like any other mattress on the market, definitely worth a try. When you lay on it you sink right in. An unexpected added bonus... it keeps people from jumping on the bed since their are no springs to bounce.

I purchased a Cal King in July 2017. First the ordering on the web site was very easy. The mattress arrived within three days of placing my order! Speed of delivery was amazing. The mattress was nicely packaged and a small razor was conveniently included to remove the packaging. The mattress quickly expanded without any chemical odors (common complaint with materreses from other companies). Once I laid down I could immediately feel the difference between Purple and mattresses using other materials such as memory foam, gel, latex, pillow tops, etc. Purple truly has a unique feel with the first two inches of the elastic polymer having immediate yet responsive give before reaching the firmer second layer foam. It felt comfortable laying down awake but the true test will be if I could sleep through the night and wake up without any aching. I am happy to say this mattress is allowing me better sleep and improving my overall health as I am not tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position. My back feels much better after just a few days. The mattress also felt cool and I did not get the body heat trap from memory foam. I am writing this review because it was difficult for me to decide on which mattress to buy. With so many choices it gets to be overwhelming.

I was really excited to try out this mattress, and I really like it. It feels great for all sleeping positions, never had any pain or discomfort, and it's quite a different experience than what I had. But. I expected a bit more with all the commercials and all. All in all, I really like this mattress and I would recommend it to everyone. Just don't expect it to be a cloud.

I purchased a few weeks ago and have never slept better. I am active person and my back and knees are always killing me. But since I have had the purple I'm able to get right out of bed in the morning and go. Used to take me 30 mins sitting on the edge of the bed before I could actually move. I highly recommend!!

Been sleeping on it for a little over a month, super bummed on it. Laying on it right now.wake up every morning with back pain. Again, super bummed. Was hoping when I got the bed I would start waking up and feeling like I got a good night sleep. I don't.

I sleep on my side and it's hard to find a mattress that doesn't wake me up with pain in my hips and shoulders but then I found the Purple and it's technology lets me sleep fully and wake up refreshed and pain free. I have one in the guest room so my guests can experience the Purple too.
