When I was younger the "sleep number" worked fine but as my routine changed I began experiencing restless nights and lower back pain. I decided to try something different and bought a very highly rated foam mattress. My wife loved it but every morning I got up bent over in pain. I gave it almost 100 days' trial but had to return it. That's when I took a chance on Purple. The first night I slept soundly without getting up at all, and when I woke up and put my feet on the floor, I stood straight and tall and felt like a kid again. The bed feels like I'm sleeping on the floor. Its way too firm. There's not much comfort to it. There's mornings when I wake up sore. And I've noticed I'm up earlier that usual every morning because my body just can't take another hour sleeping on the bed. I really wish it would have been a different outcome but everyone is different has different preferences. Mine is comfort and this is just way too firm.

I'm just a young lady attending college, and to be frugal I had furnished my apartment with hand-me-down furniture, including the mattress. Little did I know, the feather-top cover on my mattress would quickly compressed, leaving me to toss and turn on the oh-so-hard spring mattress. Seriously though, if you're a lady with a serious hip to waist circumference differential, then you need this mattress. I like to sleep on my side sometimes and my back at other times. That means I need my mattress to be versatile; softness for my hips and shoulders, and support for my waist. My hard spring mattress was giving me back problems, and I'm only 21! Upgrading mattresses is definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made.

We bought the queen size mattress with the sheets and pillows. We contemplated just buying the mattress, don't do it!! Buy it all, the sheets are the most amazing thing, the pillows were weird at first. The first night we slept on the bed we slept horribly but by night 2 we were hooked. We love it.

Sleeping on the mattress takes some getting use to. The stretchy sheets are hard to manage when changing positions. Helpful if packaging had more info on care of the linens eg. hot/cold water; bleach ?? safe in dryer ?? Mattress not as "cool" when sleeping as advertised, kicking off light bed spread often

I feel like a king on my new mattress, love how tall the mattress feels on the platform and how steardy the platform is. The mattress is the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on. It only takes me minutes after lying down and I'm out for the whole night. My back has not hurt once since sleeping on my new mattress which I'm very thankful for. I've also noticed how cool I feel during the night and I'm not throwing covers on the floor like I use to. Totally worth the money.

I had in mind the purple 2 hybrid. Went to try it out and for some reason I fell in love with the original purple mattress. Felt like it was just more firm and more support. Also another customer was at the mattress firm and felt the exact way I did. Well honestly best mattress I have ever bought. I used to wake up with lower back pain since I'm a belly sleeper and from the very first night I no longer wake up with back pain. 3rd night I was already used to the mattress. Overall I give it a 10/10 literally love sleeping in this thing and definitely recommend it. Only thing was it took 2 weeks to get here but it was sooooo worth it

I struggles with hip and back pain for years. I tossed and turned every night and often woke up as tired as when I went to bed. That all changed with my Purple mattress. I have a trouble sleeping on other mattresses due to a back injury from work a few years back. I broke my L5,L4,S1 and C1. Essentially I was told I would not walk again. I've suffered a spine injury which required surgery, and I've not got a good night sleep since then. The purple mattress keeps me comfortable no matter how I sleep. 10/10 would certainly recommend to anyone looking to make the switch from a conventional or memory foam mattress.
