My fiance and I got the original Purple Mattress and we've never slept better. Love that it keeps you cool throughout the night and its the perfect balance between soft and hard. Forms completely to your sleeping style! Our next purchase will be the the Purple pillows!

Our mattress was delivered three weeks earlier than expected! Since sleeping on the mattress for about a month I'm still a little torn on how to feel. It's definitely comfortable, although I find that I don't sink into the mattress evenly. For example, when laying on my side my ankles are often popped up off the mattress or when laying on my back I find my butt to sink in to a borderline uncomfortable arch for my back.

My Purple mattress is wonderful. It's firm but just soft enough. When I'm in bed, it's like my back pain goes away! My sheets however, already have multiple holes in them. Only 4 months old. I will admit they came free with purchase of mattress for a Black Friday deal, but replacement sheets from Purple seem way too costly if this is the kind of quality I'd be getting. I'm extremely disappointed with the sheets. Just because of the multiple holes. They are very soft and stretchy though.

After researching beds, I finally settled on a Purple 2. I was a little nervous buying a bed online, but the 90 nights test, no hassle returns and free shipping helped me take the plunge. Plus, who won't love a company that also has the option for free set up too? I am a combination sleeper and have found the Purple to be the best bed I have had. Supportive, but flexible on pressure points. My back has never felt so good! Thanks, Purple!

We bought the bed because of the claims it states on the website. Most all of the reviews were 5 stars, a few lesser. First, let me begin with my severe scoliosis (neck to ****) I have a lateral curvature which means that without muscle relaxers and pain killers in my system I am usually in a lot of pain. The reason I am telling you this first is because most beds, even some memory foam beds I have tried (regardless of the ratings and technology) cannot evade the fact that people have pressure points throughout their bodies, everyone does. Most people when you lie down, you have to de-compress ( I mean at least 30 minutes or more for your back and both sides), meaning that you are in a lot of pain until your body goes in the direction that the bed tells you to (your only option). Well, let me tell you that this bed (no clue how) but it just lets you. There is very little, I mean very little de-compression time if any at times, I lay on my back, I lay on both sides throughout the night, I constantly turn, sometimes because of an uncomfortable position or due to getting hot. This bed conforms to you and then it allows you to sleep without building up heat. No more pain while laying down, I can lay on my sides without having to roll to the other (I can spoon my wife without being in pain). I have no clue how this came up with this idea but it freakin works. My wife sleeps so hot that we usually don't hold each other for long because I am warm blooded (all night and she is cool to the touch). I could go on and on but this is a review not a novel. *** I only have two complaints but neither should affect my rating*** First, the bottom layer and mid layer needs to be thicker so the entire mattress is 12" I weigh 240 and sometimes feel I am sinking too much. It sits well, back and side to side (even two people side by side) but that extra 2.5" would really help larger guys. My second complaint or request is that if a person spends $1000 plus on a bed, allow them discounts on your pillows. The free **** cushion is awesome for the car. I love it, especially with a bad lower back. But I would like to buy a pillow, but $100.... I know high end pillows are costly, but I just paid $1000 plus for a bed. Sorry, one last thought. The mattress has tendency to move / slide on the frame. It needs elastic straps on the corners or something. Other than that "LOVE IT" Thanks PURPLE PEOPLE. I would hug everyone there if I could. I'm a grown man of 52 and 240 lbs. bad back and all, I nearly cried. Finally a bed that feels amazing and sleeps amazing.

So far, so "meh". Before we purchased this mattress, I purchased the chair cushion and lumbar support just to see how the grid system worked (and if the cushions worked as advertised). I haven't used the actual cushion much as it makes me sit too high on my office chair, but did notice that both it and the lumbar cushion make you sweat - a lot. And the reason for this is the grid collapses as it supports, so there is zero air flow through the grid. As far as comfort, they work nominally well. Our old mattress was a pseudo-memory foam affair that lasted exactly 2 years before it decided it was going to collapse in the middle as most do. Our previous mattress was a coil spring which did the same thing (we, as a couple, are not overly large people.. just sayin'). So, I thought a hybrid might do the job, and we sat on a P3 at a local retail store and it seemed to have "all the right moves". We ordered one. We're figuring with the 3 month warranty from the retail store and the 10 year through Purple our butts would literally be covered. The first week or so there was a pungent odor that weirdly I was only able to detect - and it was more a taste thing than anything else. It's somewhat dissipated now, but still occasionally get a whiff. Mattress movement with a partner isn't too much an issue - it does creditably well there. My main issue is actually sleeping close to the edge (a queen, and giving my partner some room), the edge will actually collapse, almost spilling me off the bed. Purple needs a solid band around the edge of their grids, maybe 2" wide and as deep as the grid to keep this from happening. As for sleeping comfort... yeah, it's ok. I don't think it's as 'cool' as they tout it to be (to the touch), but I'm not sweating, either. My arms will occasionally fall asleep if I'm on my side, but they'll do that in other places as well so I can't directly blame the mattress. The mattress itself is bouncy, I'm sure directly related to the grid gel. And you can feel the grid through the top cover of the mattress. It's not annoying, just one of those oh.. there's one kind of thing. I think Purple could step up the technology with the gel formation - I feel a "foamed" version of this gel - open cell, very loose foam (think soap bubbles) would be the next logical step as something like that could easily support the same amount of weight, be more breathable and provide the same support.

Thank you for your brilliant creation. For the first time I have experienced a good nights sleep. Having back pain and disc disease ,neck pain and restless legs. Your Purple bed gives me a great comfort . I am so thrilled that I am now enjoying your wonderful creation.

I bought the mattress, frame and bed sheet about a year ago. Frame as squeaky so got it replaced after 1-2 months having it. Liked the mattress but it didn't hold up. Had an indent after just a year. Also bought a sheet as well. Had a hole after 1-2 wash even after following the care instructions. Customer support was bad. Took an entire a month for them to finally process the replacement which is fine since they're so backed up and I don't need it to be sent right away anyway. But then they sent it on the wrong even though I repeatedly told them to send it after a centain day (twice email, twice phone call). All in all, liked the products but they didn't hold up very well and they're not cheap either. I bought multiple things and every single one of them had some sort of problems so it couldn't just that I got a lemon. Mattress indent seems to be a pretty common thing as I know someone who also has the same problem after about a year as well. Even though I liked the stuff, I would just rather get some other brand for better quality and customer support.

The bed was really comfortable and I got great sleep. Sometimes felt like my shoulders weren't aligned though as they weren't "melting" into the mattress like the rest of my body. I'm a side sleeper with very odd positions so there's only so much a mattress can do.

I am a side sleeper. I have a shoulder that was hurting me every night. I bought the older Purple mattress (cheapest) and I have never slept better. I have had this mattress 3 weeks and am so happy with my purchase. It is soft and pressure points have received relief. Thanks Purple!!!!!
