It took a few weeks for both my husband and I to get used to it as we were still waking up pretty sore at first. We both really like our mattress now as it is a vast improvement over our last one. We still feel like it's sleeping a bit hot and movement transfer can be felt but I think it's the sheets, which are a different brand. We are going to buy the bamboo sheets from Purple and see if those make a difference.

Our purple mattress is pretty good... My wife likes it more than I do, it is too soft for me. I had to put some extra support (3/4 inch plywood) under my half of the bed so I didn't sink in as deeply. I am 6 feet tall/220 lbs and without the extra support it was not comfortable at all. Now it is ok. One great thing about the mattress is that it does not seem to retain any heat at all. That is wonderful for a hot sleeper like me.

After years of relatively miserable sleep and waking tired and sore we looked at some of the different foam mattresses. We went with the Purple because of good ratings and because one comparison noted that because of the gel layer it was cooler then other foam mattresses, which can absorb a fair amount of body heat. I live in a warm area of the U.S. and radiate heat like a furnace when sleeping so being able to have the bed provide cool quickly was a large factor. We ordered the queen size mattress. We received it quickly. The only problem was getting it in the house and onto the bed. Because of the compaction for shipping the mattress is very heavy and unwieldy. I would recommend having someone to help set up the mattress, particularly if you are getting a king. The difference in sleep was noticeable from the first night. I got up at 5 am after having been woken a couple times during the night by my dogs to let them out and in. Despite an otherwise short and interrupted sleep I woke feeling refreshed. Since sleeping on the purple mattress I also have not had the muscle soreness and problems with my lower back that have frequently plagued me on other mattresses. Overall I am so happy with this mattress.

Changed my side-sleeping life. Amazing. I am a guy, 5'9" and 192lbs. Works perfectly for me. There are times I don't even use a pillow anymore and end up sleeping in my back because all areas including my head or supported. Never thought I would see that day. Next I want the power base but for now enjoying just the mattress. Best move I have made in a long while.

I am enjoying my new Purple mattress so much. It serving not only as my place of slumber but also as my lounge chair, and desk. It's the last thing I touch when I leave home and the first when I return. Enjoying the firmness yet flexible....keep up the good wrk

Me and my husband have been sleeping on the purple for almost a month now and we love it! we both liked it right away but the 2nd-7th night were tough for me. I woke up very sore during this time period, and then it seemed to magically disappear and my body must have needed time to adjust to the bed. now we are both sleeping all the way through the night like never before especially my husband. Highly recommend it and remember to give it a chance before you panic

Bought a Twin for your son and a queen purple for us, it's been over a month now using our purple mattress, I just asked my wife and son while writing this review how they like their purple mattress and they both gave me thumbs up. My wife wanted me to say she also loves the purple sheets and blankets, so there it is.. Thanks for producing a great product!!!

Had a Number bed for years and recently switched to a Purple mattress. Though I like soft mattresses, I found Purple mattress a little firmer than what I was used to, it did not take long before it conformed to my body. I absolutely love it and highly recommend anyone try it. In addition, you get great customer service.

This bed arrived quickly and was easy to set up. When my gf and I first laid down we weren't super impressed. Being acustomed to foam toppers we thought this bed was a bit hard...so we laid down for the night. I don't even remember falling asleep and when I woke up I was a changed man. As someone who suffers from shoulder and back pain I was amazed when I woke up and felt no pain at all. I love this bed. Love it. Buy it now.

The platform base is SO squeeky it completely ruins the entire bed . They were great and sent me a new one , but it is just as squeeky. The mattress is so firm and I feel like I'm sleeping on a board. Haven't felt cozy or relaxed since I got it . Very disappointed since this was our 10 year anniversary purchase after sleeping on an awful bed for 10 years and now it's not any better
