This mattress has changed the way I sleep. It's so comfortable. Too comfortable I've never had a harder time getting out of bed. I've shown up late to work cause this bed is just that good. Even after getting fired for being late I didn't care cause this bed is the best thing in my life!

I have had my Purple Twin XL for about eight months. The fulfillment took a month (21 business days). I was 29 and 160 lbs with about thirty being excess fat. I am now 30 and 175 lb with about 45 being excess fat. I am 5'5" and have very broad shoulders and average hips for a woman. I have been a back sleeper for years with almost no movement during the night, but tend to switch to my side when I'm cold, my lower back is tight, or the bed is uncomfortable. I, also, tend to wake up naturally after 6.6-7.5 hours of good sleep. When the bed is too firm, I tend to sleep for a couple hours on my back, then a couple hours on one side, a couple on the other side, etc., rotating as my hip and shoulder pain wakes me up between deep sleeps. When I first got my Purple, it felt great. I had been sleeping on a 4inch memory foam topper with no mattress for three months so the purple was heavenly. It felt like it really contoured the body and I definitely slept better than I had on the foam topper without a mattress. However, it did not take long before I was sleeping fitfully again. I assumed it was because of my stressful job, then the mono I caught over the winter, and the fact that I was getting older. Now I am older and heavier, but I have a wonderful, less stressful job; I'm always exhausted because I wake up to shift positions four to eight times during the night. After nine hours, I don't want to get out of bed because I'm tired, but my hips are so sore from the bed. I spent the night at a friend's house not long ago and slept perfectly on the pillow top mattress and woke up rested after only six and a half hours. I felt like me again. The Purple is just not soft enough for my taste. I see that Purple has put out new versions of the bed with different thicknesses. Maybe the thicker "all positions" mattress would work better for me. I just don't care to test it right now.

Let me first start out by saying that the bed was not too bad. Just a little too firm for me. The thing with purple that was horrible was when I ended up wanting to return my bed it was not picked for 2 weeks after I contacted them. The customer service was not good.

Received the mattress which expanded rapidly out of the plastic after we cut it off. Very pliant with one hand depressed into the mattress and seems to wrap around you. However, I noticed that as you lie on it, there is a bed-of-nails effect in that the more surface area you take up, the more you sleep on top of the mattress rather than feeling like you are supported by the elasticity of the egg-frame. We were trading out an old rumpsprung mattress which didn't bother me too much, but was causing my wife to have back and hip pain and thusly she would spend more nights on the couch than on the bed. After getting the purple, I noticed that she still was spending quite a few nights on the couch. She remits that while the back pain she had on the old mattress had completely gone away, she had developed new shoulder and neck pains which did not seem to be alleviated with sleeping with a cotton versus feather pillow. All-in-all we both really wanted to like the purple likely due to how much we spent on it, but I was not overly impressed and she was still in pain(albeit a different kind). While the purple may be a decent mattress, it just wasn't the right fit for us.

Such a subjective product...a mattress! I have my own orthopedic issues. Most of them are comfortably alleviated by my Purple mattress. I still suffer back pain on occasion upon awakening, but other times I don't, so I can't blame my mattress. I can state the mattress is well constructed and generally very very comfortable. I sleep well on my Purple mattress.

So I replaced my 20 year old mattress because it had started building up an electrical charge and I must say when I first laid down on the purple it was amazingly comfortable but I'm sure any mattress I would have gotten would have been better than my old one but overall I'm happy I just hate that it's only been two weeks and it's already sinking in, hopefully I can replace it

Our old mattress was too soft, causing back pain. The guest room mattress was too hard, causing shoulder pain. The Purple gives me just the right amount of back support and shoulder cushion. I sleep better than I have in years and after one month, my pain is virtually gone!

I didn't have my hopes up too high when I ordered this mattress but I was pleasantly shocked and surprised. I've dealt with sciatic pain for years and I hated going to bed because of the discomfort and pain with my memory foam mattress. I've had the People Purple mattress for two weeks and it is awesome! I can now sleep in any position with comfort and really looking forward to going to bed and staying in bed. I'm definitely sleeping better and longer.

I found out about Purple via a YouTube ad. (For the record, the ad pulled me in, and accordingly, it may have been the first YouTube ad I've ever watched in its entirety.) I was intrigued by the science of the Purple Mattress, as I was looking for some relief from chronic lower back pain. I decided to purchase a Queen (Original) mattress. My expectations were high, and the mattress has NOT disappointed. It took a few days for my body to get used to the mattress, but now, I feel a LOT more rejuvenated after a night of sleep. I don't toss and turn like I used to because of back pain. The Purple Mattress is so comfortable. I'm a fan!

Disappointed in the comfort of the mattress. Had the mattress for almost 4 weeks and been thinking about sending it back. Have not had a good night rest on mattress and find it difficult to stay comfortable. I find myself tossing and turning much more than I did before and wake up every morning sore from my shoulders to my lower back.
