We are amazed at how comfortable the mattresses are - we have a queen and a twin in your house now, and they are a world apart from what we were sleeping on earlier. Most of us sleep on our sides and have a hard time keeping our spines straight for the night, but Purple's mattresses do an amazing job of being soft in the right spots while still providing full body support for a great night's sleep at any angle!

Original Purple mattress compares to tempur-pedic mattress quality. Definitely just as good or better. Depending on your back problems &/or other sleep issues, I would not know how to compare the Original Purple mattress to the New Purple mattress. So far so good & great with the Original Purple mattress. Every night feels a little better. My husband & I both appreciate how the mattress has thus far helped us personally with sleep apnea & multiple sclerosis symptoms. Customer service always pleasant, informative & generous. They always backed their word with action. No shady dealings. Very willing & happy to recommend.

I was sleeping on an older, traditional mattress, but now I am on a Purple. I have never slept so comfortably in my LIFE. It's a whole different world. The stretchy sheets are great too! I will keep this review short because I need to go to bed - looking forward to that now!

I have been sleeping on this mattress for five months now - and it is the best mattress I have ever owned! It cradles your body leaving no pressure points, there is no 'bouncing' when you sit on it (or flop!) It truly delivers everything they claim. I LOVE THIS MATTRESS!

I'll say first of all that I believe each person sleeps better on different types of mattresses. I don't think there's one mattress that's best for everyone. That said, Neither my wife nor I got anything close to a good night's sleep on our Purple for three straight nights, and we returned it afterwards simply because we couldn't keep going like that. We truly needed to get more sleep, and we've never experienced that in any mattress before. The Purple was much more firm than we expected, even with stretchy sheets. I don't hold it against Purple very much that we didn't sleep well on the mattress, and delivery was pretty fast, and the return process was easy and painless. The packaging is another story. Our previous mattress was a Casper, which we also returned, as it was surprisingly firm as well. I took a video of the Casper setup, and it literally took three minutes from being in the delivery packaging to being on the bed, inflated, and ready to lie down. The Purple comes in way too much plastic. It was easily 15 minutes to wrestle through all the overlapping layers of plastic wrapping, and was a much more physical process to get it out of the plastic and laid out on the foundation. The bag it ships in (which hopefully is recyclable, in spite of the big zipper) looks disturbingly like a body bag. There was definitely a smell, which disappeared after a few days. I don't mind it personally, but my wife did very much. As I said, the whole experience was pretty painless, and I applaud the way companies like Purple are cutting out the ridiculous mattress stores from the process. This one just wasn't for us.

My husband and I have been sleeping on a regular, pillow top, spring queen size mattress for the first few months of our marriage. Decided to upgrade to a king and had SO MANY friends/family recommend a Purple mattress. We did research on the different "kinds", basic, hybrid, etc. we both are "gym" goers and didn't think we'd need the extra support of the springs that's in the hybrid purple mattress. We decided on the basic purple mattress and it has been a dream so far! You can feel it forming to your body curves when you lay down (on back, side or stomach!). It's easy to sit on the side of the bed to put socks or shoes on without it compressing down. You can also feel a "cooling" effect from the mattress, which is awesome if you're a "hot sleeper". We absolutely love this mattress and are very happy with our decision!

We had been watching the purple videos pop up on facebook and then saw the great reviews the purple mattress got on sleepopolis...and decided to give it a try. I've never, ever wanted to tell other people about my mattress before, and I feel like I can't STOP telling people about our purple. Quite simply, we had no idea how well we could sleep, how comfortable and well-rested we would feel, until this mattress arrived. I love our purple mattress!

We bought an original Purple mattress, king size. So far, it is so comfortable, we love it! I can't in good conscience give five stars just yet, because I don't know how it's going to hold up with time. Also, I've noticed that a lot of mattress manufacturers, especially memory foam types, are skimping on size, and hoping you just buy their custom sized platform instead of a standard bed frame. Purple is better than the Serta it replaced, but still not *exactly* a standard king size. But overall, it was affordable, and we are extremely pleased, we are sleeping deeply, and less back pain. Definitely recommend!

I have been tracking my sleep since Christmas when I got my fitbit. My old bed I would have restless nights of tossing and turning and awake moments throughout the night. I got the PURPLE Valentine's Day. My sleep tracker tells me I have restful nights every night with very little movement. I wake up now without the aching in my back, hip and arm. I love the PURPLE bed and would highly recommend it to everyone!

When I purchased this mattress with the collapsible bed frame, I was initially satisfied and even recommended the mattress to friends and family. The bed frame came with inherent defects that did not allow support hooks to hook up properly, but Purple customer service was able to send me another with the same defects. The mattress began to lose its support very quickly. The polymer on top makes it so the bed doesn't lose its shape, so it makes it difficult to make a warranty claim. I'd liken it to a puddle of water that you don't think is that deep, but when you step into it, you fall up to your knees. Even if I could make a warranty claim to get a new one, I wouldn't want to. I would recommend a hammock for better spine support. If you are a stomach sleeper, avoid this mattress like the plague. I am young, healthy, and only weigh around 180 lbs. This mattress makes me feel 80 years old with all the back issues I've gotten from it. In reality, most mattresses are garbage and lose support after a few years. I would put this mattress on the more extreme side of losing support. Most of the good reviews that you see are people who have just recently purchased the mattress. I'd pay more attention to the people that have owned the mattress for multiple years writing mostly critical reviews. To be fair, I've had no issues with Purple customer service, but when the product is inherently bad, good customer service does not cut it.
