I like this mattress. I think it is comfortable and plush without lacking support. However, I feel that if you are over 190 lbs or have wide hips, the basic mattress is not going to be for you. I laid on it when it first arrived and noticed that my hips sunk almost to the submattress (foam). The further you sink, the less comfortable it is. I am 5'8" 183 lbs and a side sleeper. I am not large by any margin but I feel that if you are larger than me, you will need a thicker mattress to side sleep. I put my old mattress under the new purple and have been pretty comfortable but the combined height makes me feel like I am on the ceiling. I intend to return the basic purple mattress and buy the hybrid with the hope that I won't need to use my old mattress as support.

Jury is still out. First few days we slept so well. Now that my body is more adjusted to this mattress it's not as good. I prefer a firm mattress, and this was firm at first. Now it sleeps more soft. My lower back hates that. Yes we have the strechey jersey sheets(any sheets would be strechey as this mattress is so short) yes we have it on properly slated base no more than 2" apart. I just can't say I'd recommend this bed yet, I hope it gets better. We paid alot and it's really heavy and I'm sure it would be a pain to get rid of it. I just wish it was more firm.

Have had my mattress for about two weeks, before getting it I was waking up early with a lower back/hip pain almost every morning that would go away as soon as I got out of bed, couldn't sleep in!! After three nights it resolved. Wonderful sleep and nice lazy mornings when I want to stay in bed I can. Would highly recommend!!

My husband & I bought our purple mattress about a year ago. We love it! I just bought a second mattress for my daughter. She was so excited! The process is easy. The people are friendly and the product is great! We will definitely buy from purple again!

My overall experience has been amazing!!! Im currently serving in the US navy and coming back home after a long time being on a ship it's definitely the best thing ever. I suffer from daily back pain specially at work. If you have never seen the way sailors live on a ship you will understand why we have so many aches and pains. I finally decided to pick a purple mattes and this has been the best decision ever. When I can back from a long time at sea I remember that first night every time because my back, knee, and neck pains just go away. I don't want to leave my mattress but I must to do my job. I cannot express how happy I'm with this purchase. It's been definitely one of the best ones I've done recently.

If you need a mattress, this is a solid choice. If you have a good one already, however, I would not recommend this. I had a very expensive memory foam mattress before; it seemed to be forming ridges so I purchased a Purple mattress to replace it. Of course, once I took the sheets off and hauled the old mattress downstairs, I realized that the ridges were just protective material bunching up, something that is easy enough to fix. Regardless, I kept the purple mattress and it seems to be as comfortable, perhaps a little more so, but the change is not miraculous. So, given that it was less than half the cost of the previous mattress, including shipping, it's pretty good. But I cannot say that my sleep is any better since what I had already was pretty good also. Also, given that I had to get rid of the old mattress, selling it for next to nothing, I cannot say that I am particularly thrilled with my decision to go with Purple. The 100-day trial is not a realistic proposition since it implies that one has room to store the old mattress in the meantime. Frankly, I kind of would like my money back but then I'd have no mattress.

We are so happy that we ordered this mattress online even though it was site unseen due to Covid19. WE LOVE THIS MATTRESS. We have never slept so good and have actually overslept due to the comfort of this amazing mattress. Worth every single penny!!!

This mattress is nothing short of amazing. For years I suffered with chronic lower back pain and sciatica . I saw back pain specialists, chiropractors and physical therapists. Nothing helped. Turns out, my pillow top mattress was the culprit. I'm so glad I bought my Purple. Never looking back!

Only good things to say once we received it! It was a brutal wait since we had just purchased our home, and sold the set from previous home before we moved! So it took some adjusting from an air mattress! My arms oddly fall asleep sometimes. I'm a side sleeper and usually have my arms up and under my head. Overall I love it and am very pleased with our purchase.

After only 2 weeks into my 100 night free trial my mattress was already sagging. You could clearly see two imprints on either side of my mattress like it had been slept on for years. I only weigh 140lbs and my husband weighs 220lbs. Yet both sides of the bed were equally sagging. When I tried to return the mattress I got hassled because I did not want to have them send me a replacement mattress. After all who wouldn't have serious doubts about a mattress that was beginning to break down after only 2 weeks. Then there's the finance company they use. They don't care about the 100 night free trial or that it didn't work out and you returned the mattress they still want their money right now. Why would I pay for a mattress that I wasn't keeping and was still under their 100% fund guaranteed. The finance company wouldn't stop harassing me until they got notice from Purple that I had returned the mattress, but Purple wouldn't send them the notice because they were dragging it out trying to get me to change my mind about getting yet anouther mattress.
