It's comfy and good, but I'm not sure if it's better or worse than a latex-topped foam mattress. It is, however, much better than the 15 year old firm traditional spring mattress we had. The "back sleeping" is firm. Which is good for me ... though not as good for my wife. The "side sleeping" is less firm ... and is really nice and supportive (wife agrees). I saw a lot of reviews that complained of lack of support on the edge (e.g. when sitting) --- I was worried about that, but have not noticed any issues at all.

I bought my Purple a few years ago and everyone in my home is jealous of my mattress! My wife and I have separate twin XL mattresses for differences in support. Well, her mattress began to fade, and I bought her a Purple mattress for her birthday. It is the gift that keeps on giving! She remarks so often to me how wonderful this present was! Now we have matching twin XL mattresses - and she is sleeping better than ever!

Over the years I have slept on both firm and soft mattresses, but Purple has made a significant decrease in back and shoulder pain. Don't be mistaken by your initial first impression--It doesn't necessarily feel like magical clouds underneath you immediately when you lie down. It felt almost neutral, not uncomfortable, but not like getting a back massage from a panda bear. The results slowly manifested after a couple of weeks when I noticed I was waking up less in the middle of the night and each morning I had no cricks in my neck or back like I used to. We've been sleeping on it now for 5 months and I can honestly say I don't think I will ever sleep on a different brand of mattress again! Totally worth every penny.

The first night it was GREAT. Then the consecutive 2nd and 3rd night, I could not sleep. Woke up in the middle of the night and could not sleep after that. After 4-5 days of sleeplessness I had my first good full night sleep. I think it's a matter of getting used to the mattress. It is rather comfortable, but I wold think that it may take a few moth to establish the consistency of sleep on this mattress. Also, I ave not seen any review from anyone after five years, ten years, or more than one year... Difficult for me to evaluate at this stage.

After going through a 3 level lumbar fusion and 2 level cervical fusion in 2016 I was still miserable. My entire body hurt and I wasn't getting any rest on our worn out memory foam bed. But after buying a Purple mattress the chronic full body spasms were gone and so was the chronic fatigue in just two days. This bed is better than a memory foam mattress and a conventional spring mattress. My spinal surgeon saved me but the Purple Mattress allowed me to finish the job of saving myself. Thank you so much for creating such a fantastic product, it gave me everything I had hoped for.

I love my new mattress, not the twin I bought on line but I love the mattress I bought from the store. I had a temperpedic for years and woke up every morning with a backache every morning. Now I wake up pain free, I'm so thankful for purple mattress.

I've been away for work, so I've missed out on the first 30 of my 100 days. That being said, after sleeping on hotel beds for a month (longer for my better half), the first night of sleep on it was pretty good. I slept well, woke without aches, and was able to spoon and snuggle without feeling smothered and crushes into the mattress. And there was no disrupting sleep when either of us got up. It also passed the intimacy test, with the exception of some squeaking from the purple bedframe (king). So far so good.

So far sleeping on our Purple has been just okay. When we unrolled it, it wasn't air tight and the bed never really filled out the cover it came in (the one that says purple stitched on the sides). We gave it time to fill out and the cover remains baggy over the mattress. It does not look like the matress in the pictures. Sleeping on it feels okay, but the sides are not reinforced so it just looks smashed down. The sides do not look rectangular like the pictures on the website. So far I'd say I am a little disappointed with the look and the feel is just okay. The support is decent, and my back doesn't hurt so that is a plus.

I'm just under a month in and so far I love this bed. When I wake up I don't even notice the mattress. I wake up just knowing I slept good. I think that's even better than having a soft comfy mattress. It almost as if the mattress doesn't exist. I just lay down and my body is relaxed and I quickly fall asleep

At first I thought I liked this mattress, that is until the 100 days are up. It seems to already be breaking down.. I wake up every morning with bad back pain. There is a huge lump down the center. The mattress frame from Purple is AWFUL! DONT BUY IT!! They claim it won't squeak or wiggle.. does both. The mattress has zero support and has gotten softer after only 5 mo. Wish I could get my money back but just like anything else, it always breaks after the warranty is over
