We had a Kingsdown mattress that was drooping in the middle which we called the taco. After deciding to get a new mattress we tried more than several beds in the stores and I didn't really find anything I was happy with and the only model my wife liked was a name brand that was $3500 but it reminded us of our old bed when we bought it new. I would also like to add that in every new bed we tried there was a layer of some type of memory foam or tempurpedic type foam. I am not a fan of that on the top layer of a bed at all. I know the Purple bed has a layer in the middle which is the perfect place for it in my opinion. We have had the bed only three weeks but I really think for us that is enough time for a review and I don't see much changing my opinion of this mattress. This is the best bed I have ever slept on. I travel a lot and sleep on some really good beds at some high end hotels now and then. I am a horrible light sleeper and I am consistently getting 2-3 hour more uninterrupted sleep because of the motion control of this bed. I have a summer silk comforter that is very warm and with the purple sheets its a great sleep. Sex is also much better on a bed that has some bounce. I would give this bed 6 stars if I could. I think is is reasonably priced and will probably buy another two for my kids at some point.

I was nervous buying a mattress without trying it first, but nearly a year later I still love my bed! I'm about 250 pounds, have several musculoskeletal disorders, and spend a lot of time in bed, so comfort and good sleep is so very important. I rotate between back, side, and belly sleeping and all three are so comfortable! The mattress has the perfect amount of support, even for my fat self, and still shows no wear and tear. Hands down, best purchase I've ever made.

When we first got the Purple it was awesome- I would actually giggle when getting in bed because it was bouncy and super comfortable. Best sleep ever for the first month. We bought the new purple mattress (not the original) hoping that with the separate springs we have the extra support needed. I am 5'4 and under 150, in less than 6 months the "bounce" on my side is all but non-existent. It feels like very other mattress and a bit worse. Right now I am tossing and turning because of lower back pain, I switch to my side but have hip pain; it feels like I am completely out of alignment now. Sadly we are out of the 100 day trial so now we are stuck with a very expensive king size mattress that uncomfortable. 100 days is not enough to have an honest break in period, its just enough to get stuck with the mattress. :(

I used to sleep on a memory foam and would wake up with lower back pain. I bought the purple mattress on account that it helps with that. After sleeping with the purple mattress for a couple weeks now I no longer have back pain at all and my sleep is more deep now. I wake up refreshed and I'm loving the mattress. - Original Purple mattress

I literally have not slept this good in years. My husband and I had had a temperpedic for more than 10 years but the mattress developed an indentation from my body and became too hot. The Purple mattress came recommended and I literally have not slept this good in years. I no longer toss and turn all night, constantly aware of back and joint pain. I almost sleep "too good"- it's much harder to wake up in the mornings now!

We purchased the purple bed, sheets, and pillow and it arrived hastily in good form. To our pleasant surprise, our sleeping experience has exponential increased, each night blessing us more and more with a luxurious and inimitable rest. A comfort that knows no boundaries; a relaxation that is conducive to brain health and mind wealth. To say the least, Purple has been nothing short of pleasurable!

I must say that I this mattress was not as comfortable as I was hoping it would be. I know it states that it could take up to 30 days for your body to get accustomed to the new mattress. Both my wife and I are just trying to make it through the 30 days suffering each night with lower back pain and constant tossing and turning. I thought the Purple pillows would be the saving grace as well, but those also are turning out to cause us both neck pain as well. I prefer a thinner type of pillow, I think for me, if the pillow was about 1/2 the thickness, it would serve me well. My wife likes a thicker pillow and she has tried night after night adjusting the booster, but to no avail. We will continue with the trial on both the mattresses as well as the pillows, but our thoughts are as of right now, that we will be returning them. On a brighter note, we LOVE the sheets!

This mattress is great for sleeping on, my husband and I actually don't mind going to bed now. However during unpacking we thought that we needed to use the slicer to remove the layers of clear plastic wrap surrounding the mattress because those directions are under the Slice header and not the next Unroll header. We ended up also slicing through the vacuum seal and caught a piece of the mattress itself, leaving a 1 to 2 inch slice on the side of the mattress. Other than that mishap we love our new mattress.

I have medical issues and haven't had a great nights sleep in over 5 years. I took a leap of faith and purchased the Purple mattress. I did a lot of research before buying this brand. It seemed to me that this was the better buy of them all. Let me tell you that the very first night I slept on it was the beginning of a great relationship. I had just moved and I could literally hardly walk. I'm disabled and couldn't believe it when I woke up the first morning after a WONDERFUL nights rest. I usually wake up 3-4 times a night and try to get back to sleep. I only woke up 1 time and not because I couldn't sleep.(older people know what I mean). I got out of bed and couldn't believe how I felt. I had so little pain in my legs and back that I thought I was almost normal again and not as sick. All I can say is you need to take the chance and at least try the Purple mattress. Trust me your body will love you for it.

I have been dealing with back problems for a while now. I have been sleeping on a pillow top mattress and had just accepted the fact of a sore back everyday when I wake up. Not anymore! First night in the bed was amazing and I woke with little to no pain! Thanks Purple!!!
