The only thing that was unfavorable with the buying process was that it took almost 3 weeks to get mattress delivered. Purple shipped within a day or two of purchase but the delivery service took weeks and they weren't good about keeping us updated. Not that we were impatient but we moved into a new house and had no mattress. The bed is 5 stars for sure. Been sleeping on it about a month and my partner and I both agree that it helps with our hip and back pain. It is also soft enough to be comfy but firm enough to have good support. We like very much !

I've been playing with the idea of getting a purple for quite awhile and finally decided to take the leap with the hopes that, if I did not like the bed, the return process wouldn't be too much of a hassle. So glad I never had to find that out for myself because so far this bed has been AMAZING! I have sciatica and my old mattress definitely aggravated it and my sleep quality was rather poor, but I'm relieved to say that the purple worked for me! I've only had it a few weeks, but so far I've woken up pain free and feeling refreshed every time. I hope it lasts me a good long time. Love it!

This is the best mattress i have ever had. So comfortable and my body no longer aches, especially my back. My old mattress hurt my back sooo bad. Not this one..Like sleeping on a perfectly fit comfy cloud. Loved it sooo much ordered a mattress for my daughter and for our spare room. Thank you!

My discs have been slowly herniating since I was 17. I think I have 5 now that are messed up (congenital problem). I've gotten pretty good about ignoring the pain and just managing it, but the thing is, the type of bed I have can make it a lot worse. I've tried TempurPedic (sucked, memory foam in it started breaking down after ONE WEEK), Sleep Number (about like sleeping on a Ziploc bag, not at all comfortable, and the bags apparently get leaks very easily), and honestly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on thus far was a regular lumpy old mattress. Until I found Purple! I didn't even test it out in the store; I watched the videos, talked to people who had them, and decided to take a chance. I've been sleeping on a Sleep Number for the last 4 months, and I wake up worse every morning. I got my Purple 2 mattress yesterday, and after one night of sleeping on it, I was amazed that I didn't wake up in excruciating pain as per the norm. I'm very excited. It's very comfortable, and I'm glad I got the really soft one because it seems to offer more support while still being pretty firm so it's just right. I bought the King size, the platform, and the pillow. I'm glad I got the King because now my kids want to sleep on it AND hang out on it during the day 24/7, so there's still plenty of room for me. The only complaint I have is that I wish the pillow was a little taller. I have pretty broad shoulders, but the pillow is really short. It's comfortable, it's just my head and neck aren't supported high enough when I'm on my side. My kids have been sleeping on it, though, and it seems to fit really well for them because they're smaller. I think I might try folding it in half and seeing if that gives it enough height to be comfortable.

My wife and I have the basic purple mattress and after a month or so you'll feel every little movement. Our standard schnauzer was scratching himself with his teeth and it felt like we were in a semi waterbed. Would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND PURPLE 1!

We have loved our mattress from the minute we got it. Besides how comfortable it is, I love how flat it is. Without a pillow top we have a lot more room and neither of us roll to the middle like we used to. We did get the jersey sheets like you recommended and it made it even more comfortable. Thank you for a great product!

Definitely a departure from the traditional mattress. I spent a lot of time researching the different models and decided on the original purple due to my weight, size and style of sleep. I've had the mattress almost a month now and the jury is still out. For back sleeping, it is certainly ideal, cool and comfortable. On the occasion I side sleep, I'm not getting the comfort on my shoulders (I may not weigh enough to adequately compress the top layer for proper support. At present, I have all intentions on keeping the Purple as it does seem to be a comfortable, cool, motion free bed. I would highly recommend the Purple line of mattresses to anyone looking to replace or update their current traditional mattress.

We had an absolutely great experience, ordering and receiving our mattress. We were in a hurry to get our mattress on time as we were moving. Concerned about the stated 2 week processing time I emailed/called Purple directly. They were beyond helpful! We received our mattress here in Colorado within 3days of speaking with a very sweet representative. My dad helped us open the tube(which our UPS delivery guy begged us never to order again ) and was blown away to see our mattress was made less than 2 weeks ago. We have been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks and love it. It is so hot here this summer, but the mattress has stayed cool. It is has been a great compromise for my husband(likes a firm bed) and myself(likes a softer bed). We each get what we need from this wonderful creation. Thank you for all the help!!

I've been sleeping on my new twin for a a couple weeks, it's a great difference from my older twin mattress of 16(?) years. I wanted to get a queen, but with all the accessories (sheets, pillows, and mattress cover) it quickly put that desire out of reach for financial reasons since the three or four-inch techy stuff exacerbate the price. This mattress with the two-inch tech definitely doesn't add to your chronic pain but it doesn't cure it and falls into a firmness with appealing give category as opposed to just being soft with give. I work in a coffee shop and am a portrait artist/illustrator so the demands for movement and stillness come with pain in all areas. I keep my apartment at 68 degrees at all times, but if I don't have the fan running I will overheat in my mid-section or feet if I have a blanket over the sheets. Overall, I am satisfied and will buy again.

I WOULD TELL EVERY ONE THAT HAS ANY KINDA PAIN IN THERE BODY TO GET THIS MATTRESS, I HAVE ARTHRITIS IN BOTH OF MY HIPS AND ALSO LOWER BACK PAIN. ANY OTHER MATTRESS THAT I TRY OUT, I WOULD STILL HAVE PAIN AND WAKE UP WITH STIFFNESS. I HAVE INSOMNIA AT TIMES AND CANT SLEEP. I WOULDN'T GO TO SLEEP TIL EARLY MORNING BECAUSE I AM FIGHTING ALL THE PAIN I HAVE TO GO THREW. SOME NIGHT I WOULD CRY BECAUSE I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN . I DON'T LIKE MED SO I WOULD SUFFER THREW THE PAIN. SINCE I INVESTED IN PURPLE 3 KING MATTRESS I BEEN SLEEPING LIKE A NEW BORN BABY, MAJORITY OF ALL MY PAIN HAD'S GONE AWAY SINCE THEN I BEEN GETTING GREAT NIGHTS SLEEP. I THINK EVERY MOTHER SHOULD HAVE THIS BED IN THERE HOME. >3 THANKS PURPLE FOR MAKING THIS PRODUCT I'M IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN
