My wife and I decided to give this new "sensational" Purple bed a shot because it had developed so much great press and buzz online. The first 60 days were amazing...the experience was different but now after about a year of having it ,the bed feels like we're sleeping on a slab of stone. We're not sure if the material that the bed is made out of is faulty or if the shelf life of these beds are only a year but our bed is unbearably uncomfortable. We wake up daily in pain. I now have shoulder, neck, back and hip pain and I never did before this bed. My wife has back pain and hip pain (We're both side sleepers) We even purchased the Purple Base thinking this would help and that seems to have made things worse. The claim for the Purple Base is that it doesn't squeak or make noise...thats false. The base makes a noise for every single motion anyone does on the bed. Any slight shift and you hear it. You can also very much feel every lattice of the design through the bed at times. I very much feel like we wasted our money as we are now in the market looking for a different bed. $2,000+ down the drains.

This bed is awesome! I have been sleeping so much better since buying this mattress. The only thing that might be annoying is that you can feel the grid as you sleep. Doesn't bother me but is a possible concern. Overall, amazing mattress! Definitely recommend.

The purchase experience was very positive; the mattress showed up as scheduled, and was not difficult to set up or "inflate". The instant I laid on it though, a streak of doubt shot through me as I jiggled side to side, feeling as if I had laid down on a gelatin dessert platter. I'm a slim/muscular 160 lb guy, and barely sink into this mattress. The egg-crate form-fitting feeling I was expecting was non-existent, instead feeling every line of the grid under my body and pressure felt at each of those points. A foam topper in addition to a pillow topper sort of help, but I do plan to return the mattress.

I can't wait to get in bed at night! It's perfectly firm yet cradles you in the right areas. I monitor my sleep with a Fitbit and since using this mattress, I am in "deep" sleep longer and wake up feeling more refreshed and less sore. And the best part is my 2yr still enjoys jumping on the bed!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. For years I have been unable to sleep through the night. Now I couldn't wake up at 3am if you paid me too. I am sleeping better than ever and have lots of energy to last through the day. I have had several friends diagnosed with sleep sleep apnea recently and I feel like I have a dirty little secret because my doctor was convinced I had it too. Even my head aches have subsided. I love my Purple King Size Bed!

We wanted to wait until we had our Purple mattress for 2-3 months before reviewing it. We bought jersey fit sheets for it, as suggested. We love it. My husband hasn't had any stiffness since getting the new bed. It is much easier on this side sleeper's hips. It is sooooo much cooler than our memory foam mattress, so no more sweating at night. My husband quit sleeping with a pillow after we bought our Purple mattress and was more comfortable that. BUT unfortunately I missed out on the 2 pillows with a bed purchase by about 8-12 hours or so (my husband was asleep and I couldn't discuss the purchase with him until the next morning, when the kickstarter had ended). So hopefully soon we'll have the extra cash for Purple pillows!! Love the purchase, and definitely was worth the money for the king size Purple bed!!!!!

I found out about the purple mattress from my son who purchased one over a year ago I was trying to find something that will keep me cool but also firm and the purple mattress is both. After several days it will even start conforming to your body but not wear soft but comfortable. As for the stretchable sheets I have totally falling in love with them I know they're very expensive but they are so worth it on your skin how thin they are and they just feel great against your body. I've actually talked about the sheets so much and the mattress that my girlfriend went out and purchased her the mattress and two sets of the sheets. I love your products

I received my purple mattress about a month ago. I loved the feeling of the mattress but the first two weeks were painful on my hips. I made it through another week and decided to place a topper on it. Perfect! I believe in Purple but I need additional cushioning for my hips and shoulders so I am desperately waiting for purple to put out their topper so I can place it on my mattress for 4 inches of their purple power cushioning. The ball is in your court Purple, please make your toppers soon so I can have an all- purple bed!

I did a lot of research and searching for a bed before purchasing. I tried the brick and mortar mattress stores and rested on every bed imaginable, foam, spring, water, etc. and various combinations. I waiting until we have slept on the bed for six months before writing the review. The Purple mattress is unlike any I had slept on before. This mattress provides the prefect cushion for my body and my wife's body alike. My teenage kids try to convince us to switch beds just so they can sleep on the mattress. I was afraid the mattress would sleep hot but it does not at all! The pillow is all I use to rest my head on now. Regardless of how I sleep, it provides the perfect adjustment for my neck. The pillow sleeps very cool! The mattress protector provides the protection from spills and is flexible enough to allow the mattress to work properly. The sheet set is amazingly comfortable. The fitted sheet is a necessity, as it allows the mattress to work correctly! The flat sheet can be a bit unruly at night. When in bed my wife and I found that it would cling to us at night making it challenging to move our legs out of the covers. The pillowcases are just as comfortable. However, one criticism, the pillow cases are sized for the bed (as they should be) but the purple pillow is one size fits all. As a result, the king pillowcase that came with the mattress set is far too big for the purple pillow. Overall, I would and have recommending this bed to many people. The next mattresses we buy for the other rooms in our house will be a purple!

It's an ok mattress, I did sleep better; however the improvement in comfort was not as good as I expected from their wonder and colorful ads. The edges are soft, so not very good for sitting on them. It is very heavy, which is not necessarily bad, just something to note.
