The mattress stays very cool. It threw me off for the first couple nights bc you can feel the mattress beneath you. It's a solid piece, but you can still feel the "ribs/grooves" under you. It is completely different from a solid mattress we all have slept on for our entire lives. Other than that - very comfy and wake up refreshed :)

After doing much research on finding a new mattress, I stumbled on a commercial for Purple. I watched. I was doubtful on how great the product claimed to be. I had slept on a memory foam bed before only to be woken up many time through out the night trying to roll over and finding myself fighting to get out of my body impression left in the mattress. Again, waking up sore, stiff an miserable. My search continued, but I kept finding myself watching the commercials for Purple. I have read ALL the reviews. Finally after a month of wasted research I purchased Purple. The first night I slept like a baby. I still woke up slightly sore. I think due to my old mattress' effects. However, each morning I would wake up I found myself less and less sore and more and more rested. I can't imagine not having this bed. I am so thankful I stumbled across this commercial. I just wish I had placed the order sooner! If your having doubts about this mattress like I did.....do yourself a favor and just try it out. They give you 100 days to make up your mind. It only took 5 days for me to decide to keep Purple. On another note: Shipping was quicker than expected!! Thank you.

I love this bed. And has great support and is very comfortable all night long. I have found that there is zero role between me and my wife and she sleeps much better as well. This is absolutely the best mattress we have ever owned and I'm only sorry that I did not purchase it sooner. Are sleeping at night is much better much more enjoyable and I wait feeling much more rested with less muscle and lower back pain than I can ever remember. Purple is a great price compared to some of the other traditional mattresses I highly recommend it.

This is my and my husbands first mattress since we have been together. I researched for what seemed like for ever. I was tired of waking up sore and my back hurt all the time. My arms would fall asleep and I'd wake up at every time of the night just to re-position. Purple has changed everything. My back doesn't hurt all the time anymore. I don't wake up hurting. I sleep through the night, so I'm better rested. BUT it did take about 30 days to get to this. Yes, the first night was amazing, I have to saw, but my husband was -not- impressed. I begged him, wait 30 days and let me know. Just give it time. LO AND BEHOLD he actually showed off the mattress to his friend the other night! HAHA! Also, my dogs have decided they enjoy it too. I find them sneaking off to lay on it.

I bought this bed after my mattress began to exhibit signs of age and wear. I purchased a Purple after reading reviews on it. I'm a side sleeper and it supports my body really well. I will recommend that you not use the existing box spring mattress, either spring for a platform or get the slats. Anyhow...the bed arrived after a week and I was able to move it myself. It was well packaged, easy to open, despite the fact it weighs 140 lbs. I'd recommend the Purple anytime of the week.

My wife and I are baby boomers. We've slept on upper end coil spring mattresses for years. When the first 'memory foam" mattress came to the market, we ordered one. It was like sleeping on a gym pad. Disappointed (and sore) we went back to another good quality coil spring mattress and were comfortable with it for years. Now, much like us, this mattress has become weak & saggy. Our sleep suffered and the morning aches and pains grew stronger. Clearly it was time to replace. I researched various mattress types and brands for about 3 months learning more about mattresses than I ever wanted to. Coil spring, gel foam, memory foam, hybrids, etc. - the whole list of opportunities. All claimed to be the most comfortable, best to support your body and durable. I really struggled with buying a mattress on the internet without trying it out in the store but after looking at the customer reviews and comments about customer service with the 100 night test we decided to give it try. Purple was the only truly unique product on the market and the only real new innovation in this industry in a lot of years. Still skeptical, I ordered one of the Purple chair cushions first and we all tried it out. The final determination was made when I set the cushion on our bed for a minute and our French bulldog instantly curled up on it and went to sleep. This dog is a professional sleeper so his endorsement was good enough for us. BTW- you folks at Purple might want to expand into the pet bed market next. I think you'd find a lot of pet-loving buyers there. I ordered a king mattress on Jan 1, 2017. Purple did communicate that they were backlogged with orders from Black Friday & the Holidays. I told my wife that such demand was a good thing because they are obviously selling a lot of units, many by word of mouth I assume from satisfied customers. They've only been in the mattress game for the last 12 months so I'm sure they are dealing with some growth issues. The mattress finally arrived Jan 19. Yes, it was heavy & bulky but it unpacked easily and instantly went to full size when unrolled. No wait, no odor- just instant bed! I had read some reviews that said it may take up to a week to get use to the feel of this new mattress but not for us. From night one- we absolutely LOVE this mattress. We are so impressed we ordered one for our son & his wife and they are anxious for it to arrive. I wrote this review because the vast majority of those I saw during my research were from younger folks and I just wanted to tell my fellow boomers & other more senior folks that this mattress is for us too. Purple cost is in the upper end for the 'mattress in the box via internet" market. Maybe one or two others more expensive and then you get to the whole Tempurpedic & Sleep Number thing costing what a small car would. I would argue that the Purple technology is what sets it apart from all of the others and is clearly worth the price (assuming it holds up). Bottom line- I absolutely recommend this mattress to anyone for who a good night's sleep is important!

We have slept 6 nights on our new Purple mattress and are pretty surprised! We had no idea how this new-fangled mattress would work... My husband likes a firm mattress and I prefer a softer form of comfort and sleep very hot. Low and behold... purple is BOTH AND COOL! He always suffered from neck and back pains and has noticed he has none of those symptoms now... Really, really-in just 6 days? I cannot believe how supportive but cradling this mattress has been for my body and I am not hot at all! We also have a Simple cushion and had a Royal cushion, but returned the Royal cushion; only because the Simple is high enough for both of us! Our replacement Simple should be coming back to us soon and we can't wait! Next, I believe I will be trying the new Purple bed pillow.... It is truly amazing that this polymer material works so well for support and resilience in returning to its original shape-almost unbelievable! And, that it sleeps cool too is totally my dream come true! We are Purple believers now! Totally purchase this mattress and its sibling items! You will not be disappointed.

This is the absolute best mattress on the market. Hands down. I spent about 6 hours total researching the mattress that would work best for me, and Purple 4 kept coming out on top of every category. The price was very steep, but I truly believe it is worth every cent. I'm disabled on top of a chronic pain disorder and an autoimmune disease, and I can't sleep on any other surface without excruciating pain. This mattress is the only thing that has helped me. The first 3 days is very hard to get used to. The material feels so foreign, it's almost like you're going to fall off. I don't feel anything like that anymore. In fact, most regular mattresses feel incredibly stiff to me now. I can't recommend this mattress enough.

My experience with purple and their customer service agents is amazing they listen to you and make things happen! I bought the 4 inch queen size purple mattress and highly recommend it to anyone who has suffered from injuries or is achy from a long days work! The mattress really helps your body relax and remove pressure points you may experience with a spring mattress.

I have had HORRIBLE shoulder problems for years because of my side sleeping, so naturally with the advertising I was intrigued by the Purple mattress. First of all, I will say that my pains and aches are definitely 80% decreased. It does an excellent job distributing weight, BUT depending on your box spring or platform you can still put too much weight on the shoulders. I 100% support getting the mattress, but if you replace an old mattress because of paint make sure to get a new platform as well. 2ND, they will try to sell you on the Seat Desk cushion. The technology on the bed does not translate to the seat cushion. If possible I recommend trying to get the pillow as the free gift. The seat cushion is WAY too soft compared to the bed. BUT OVERALL, love the mattress. I wont return because it mostly fixed my shoulder problems. BE WARNED, easy set up, but HORRIBLE to move. Once unpacked the mattress is floppy and heavy! If you are planning to move wait until settled to buy. If you are a couple, its a great mattress for not waking up your partner.
