I had a bad experience buying a purple 4 from Mattress Firm. There was a defect on mine that mattress firm chose to do nothing about. Having spent thousands, I chose to go to Purple directly in hopes that the manufacturer could help make this right. I was completely wrong. I did get an apology but that was it. Purple washes their hands of the issue once they sell to that horrible Mattress retailer. At the end of the day, neither company chose to help. I have a better chance sleeping on the floor or couch because the defect hurts my back severely. The polymer separated so much from the side foam that it creates a giant divot that I sink into. Purple confirmed that this should not happen but they cant do anything for me. My end result will be to sleep on the floor or couch until we can afford a mattress. I really wish this could have worked out or the company could have helped. I really had high expectations from this mattress.

I've had my Purple mattress for a few weeks now and have to say that I'm impressed. It is very comfortable and has helped quite a bit with lower back pain that I had been experiencing due to my old mattress. I would absolutely recommend getting a Purple!

I absolutely LOVE my Purple. I had spinal surgery years ago and have yet to find a bed that I am 100% comfortable in but I have found that in the Purple mattress. With my previous mattress, I woke up in pain almost every day but that is now a thing of the past!

I was having alot of back problems because my old mattress was just old and worn out, no support left in it. I had been wanting to give Purple a try for quite a while and I'm glad I finally purchased one. After a month sleeping on my new mattress my back is doing so much better. Would definitely recommend.

The mattress is lovely and well-made, but I found it's a little on the firm side for me. I'm a side-sleeper with wider hips and shoulders. The mattress actually felt great on my hips, but didn't have quite enough give under my shoulders. My husband, also a side sleeper, felt the same way. We returned the mattress after sleeping on it for three weeks. Customer service was superb, exceptionally helpful and efficient.

I absolutely love Purple mattresses since I bought my first twin 4 years ago and a queen when I got married. I never wake up feeling "bent-up" in the morning, even when I sleep mostly on my side. I also love not sinking into it like memory foam mattresses. The only thing I would change is putting handles on them. They are very difficult to move after being packed up. Many other mattress brands put straps to hold onto on the sides.

My son is obsessed with Purple, thanks to Studio C videos he watches! He got a pillow a year or so ago and has been begging for a mattress for a while. He received it today for his birthday and is so happy! His sister wants to take it from him. I must say I was worried, the pillow smelled so strong, but the mattress doesn't smell. It's very comfortable. I love that it was shipped in a duffle bag type bag and you just roll it out! Thanks!

Felt as though I could bottom out on this very easily. I am 5 10 and 180lbs. I liked the feel of the top grid but did not like the support as my back hurt. Wished you could try the new mattress but I could not use the 100 day trial again so I guess I will never know.

Are you kidding me? This is THE BEST MATTRESS EVER !! I told my husband who can buy a mattress online without checking it out and laying on. Well, after spending good money on other name brands in our local stores and had to return them all after testing and laying on them and a couple I even laid on for an hour. They were horrible and put me in pain that I didn't have before. (now I know where all my pressure points are) What happened to the quality of the old name brands? Thus I thought ok what do I have to lose with money back guarantee. I did it, I ordered online and OMG. Best night sleep in two years and the pain the others gave me I had to return (for store credit) was gone on night one. Purple saved me. And for those like me saying how ridiculous it was to buy that sight unseen among other words. I take it all back. Even my ailing dogs sleep better and we all do not get hot! 3 dogs and two peeps. I normally never write reviews and just had to do a review on this. Please don't ever get rid of this original mattress. 10 year warranty but even if it last a good 6 I will be purchasing again for sure. In fact I am going to order the new dog beds! The key for those that say they are hot is the bamboo sheets. Don't use regular sheets. There is a reason why and I can feel the difference. Closest to bamboo is jersey modal 100% pure beech. They work too. Being menopausal I found what works. Awesome Bed! Its been almost 30 days and I know i will go past the 100 day guarantee. But comfort is comfort and I found it. Always had lower back pain in the past and when my old bed wore out I knew it was time for a new one. Just can't believe the beds in local stores were crap now. Husband called up brother who works for a foam company and told us that the name brand companies were using lower quality foam nowadays. That might explain it. My son a truck driver has the seat cushion and swears by it. I bought the mattress and called to tell him and he told me he had the cushion. Wow, we didn't even know each other had purple in some way. He wants to see if they make custom bed for his truck. I asked him to call purple. I don't have that answer yet while writing this. It arrived nicely packaged and was amazing to watch it open. Follow directions and there is zero problems. We did it and didn't have to move or lift. Awesome-Love it !! Got the original purple in a queen size. I am a sode sleeper, 200 lbs, broad shoulders. My partner is a back, side, stomach sleeper, 130lbs, wider at the hips. The shipping was easy and fast. Set up wasn't too difficult, but these are heavy mattresses and a bit unwieldy to move around once out of the package. The issues I had with the mattress were some of the same documented in various reviews. 1) as a side sleeper the mattress caused my arms to fall asleep. 2) my partner as a side, back, stomach sleeper it wasn't firm enough and says her lower back was a sore after sleeping longer periods. I think the purple hybrid would likely solve these two issues for us, however the cost is a bit prohibitive. I do qualify for financing a 2nd mattress, and if I get a hybrid will review my contract with the original purple. After the trial I gifted the mattress to my brother in law. He and his partner had the same issues, but we both liked the cooling factor of the purple, especially during the summer months.
