My husband and I are so pleased with this bed. We can sleep with confidence that we are not disturbing each other. Before, we both suffer with restless legs that would keep each of us up, we would constantly worry we were disturbing the other, now we just sleep well and with minimal disturbances. I was hopeful about improving my sleep with this Mattress, but after a month using it, I found that I was waking up several times in the night, then getting up in the morning with some joint discomfort. I think the mattress is just too solid for me. The soft top layer was good, but it sunk in too easily under my shoulder, then the underlying material felt too firm. I have initiated the return process, and am now trying a mattress topper on my old mattress - so far that seems better for me.

I was having a lot of trouble with my old mattress. I'm only 22, but every morning I'd wake up with pain/tightness in my back and shoulders. This mattress is perfect! It relieves all my pressure points. I haven't woken up with back pain since I purchased it! It has also stopped me from getting so hot when I sleep. I love it!

My husband and I did extensive research before purchasing our mattress. Purple seemed to be the best mattress for our needs (we wanted a memory foam or similar, with cooling properties, good for side/stomach/back sleeping). My husband loves the Purple mattress. He no longer complains of back pain and loves that it takes pressure off of joints. I guess I am harder to please. I don't find that the mattress stays cool at all, in fact it is hotter than our old, plain coil-style mattress. It is definitely soft and pressure-relieving but I find it almost too soft. That is just a personal preference I suppose. For my back pain, I feel it is just a bit too soft. Overall, for the price, I find it to be a decent mattress. I just wish it would stay cool. If you are buying it specifically for that feature, I would say, keep shopping.

My initial mattress purchase was defective. It looked like it was placed next to a heater or something and it melted the "Purple" material flat. Customer service was great in helping me in getting a replacement. However, wow these mattresses are heavy and having to move two around the house now was cumbersome and difficult. After sleeping on the mattress, I would not say it is the most comfortable thing ever but better than my 11 year old mattress. To be honest I would probably ask for my money back if it wasn't such a pain to move the mattress.

I have only ever had hand me down second hand beds and this was my first new bed purchase. I can honestly say that I have never slept more peacefully in my life. This is not my last bed purchase because I will be purchasing another if this one ever gives out. Thank you all at purple for creating a truly heavenly bed.

Mattress was packaged as advertised. Set up was easy. My existing box frame had 8 inch spacing between slats, so I bought a sheet of 3/8 inch plywood and cut to fit two sections to support Purple. We love the mattress! The reason for four stars is due to the fact the we are fairly light (me 155 lbs, my wife 110 pounds) so it feels a bit firm. We are side-sleepers and the purple top material is perfect for allowing shoulders and hips to sink in while still keeping nice spine alignment; for side-sleepers, I give it a 5+ rating.

My husband and I LOVE this mattress. It lives up to the hype. We first bought an original for our guest room and liked it so much that we now have a second one in our master bedroom. I don't know how to describe it other than the best combination of supportive but soft. It's incredible! I have now recommended it to several friends.

When I got it I expect a little too much. I honestly thought it would be life changing, coolin, hitting all the spots just right. But it could've been the bed frame I got, for it could've been that I prefer a much more frim bed but I woke up with (lack if better works) back pain for like 20 mins then I was fine after standing up. Its a good quality. But it was not much different from my original bed, which I don't mind loved my old bed. But it was just to much to get the same bed

When I first saw the ad for the Purple mattress (with "The Egg Test"), I got pretty excited. I said to myself, "I need that mattress!". I thought it looked like really smart technology, and I was convinced it would be exactly what I needed. But alas, I was wrong. You see, I have a dislocated Sternoclavicular Joint (that's where your collarbone meets your sternum), from an old ski injury. My collarbone pops in and out of socket depending on how I move my arm (don't worry, it doesn't hurt). Unfortunately, I can't sleep on my side as a result. If I sleep on my side, that joint will ache from the pressure. When I saw the ad for your mattress, I thought "Finally! I'll be able to sleep on my side again!" Fast forward to last month when I finally ordered a mattress (after a couple years since first seeing the ad), when I discovered that my hope of sleeping on my (right) side again will go unfulfilled. The Purple mattress does not absorb my body weight (150lbs.) enough to relieve the pressure on my SCJ so I can lay on that side. Needless to say, I was disappointed. However, I do like the mattress and still think it is very good technology. The grid does absorb your body and provide better support than standard mattresses, but it is definitely not as god as they portray it in their ads. I think it would be better if the grid were deeper (which I guess is the case with the more expensive models?). Basically, I would like it much better if I sank into the grid a little more... when I lay on the mattress, I can feel the grid absorb parts of my body (my butt, for example), but not much else. I don't really sink into the mattress very much, but feel like I am laying on top of it, which makes it feel like a fairly firm mattress overall.
