Slept in our new purple bed last night for the first time. It is so comfortable. Husband suffered 3rd degree burns over 40% of his body a year ago. I have had my purple original mattress for almost exactly 1 year. I noticed about 1 week in I wasn't sleeping so good so I figured I just had to break it in. After about 1 month I started sleeping normally but about 2 months ago I noticed I was having the worst back pain Lowerand upper and hip pain ever ( I am a side sleeper) and I haven't been able to fix the issue. I try sleeping in different positions but nothing helps. Purple should have a 1 year guarantee . I was such a believer telling EVERYONE that I had a Purple mattress and now I am totally disappointed in Purples sleep quality. Now I'm researching more mattresses and trying to figure out how to get rid of this one .

Mattress came a few days early. Wear shoes while unbagging it. We are between 200 and 300lbs. and there is 0 motion transfer also we don't get stuck together by gravity. I will probably never go back to memory foam or springs again. Wish I had this 7 years ago when I first got pregnant, lol.

It's hard because my Husband is a back/side sleeper and on the lighter side of life, 170lbs, and LOVES the purple mattress. I on the other hand am a stomach sleeper(terrible I know) and find that I am waking up with a pretty stiff neck yet my back is not hurting anymore. That being said we fall asleep easily and we just got the purple sheets and mattress protecter and it has made a world of difference. They make all the difference in the feeling the mattress because with my linen sheets and quilted mattress pad the bed felt super hard. Now i'm just waiting on my purple pillow in hopes that my neck feels better.

Heavy to get upstairs but handles helped us. Getting it out of the sleeve was another tiring experience. Then unrolling and opening it again was a bit of more heavy work. Finally we had it on the bed. Nice looking mattress. Let it sit for a couple hours then made the bed. I was concerned there would be an odor a couple days, but there was none. Slept great first night and have been since. My husband said it took him a week to adjust to it and then he had his first night sleeping throughout the night without waking up in years. This original Purple mattress was not designed for those who weigh in excess of 220 lbs. I pretty much bottom out on the bed platform when sitting or reading a book. Not good. I do have to admit that I like the feel of the top layer, but the mattress will not work with my 260 lbs of body weight. I am not dismayed though. I am going to go through the return process for this mattress and obtain the updated Purple 3 mattress. I think I need the extra coils that are embedded in that mattress to provide me with the support I need. Wish the reviews or even the documentation online could of provided me with the pros and cons of the oriniginal vs the updated mattresses for body builds and or weight.

My husband and I purchased it last August 2019 (7 months ago) and every morning our back is sore. We thought we just needed more time to get used to it but that hasn't been the case. If we could we would return it... he has a herniated disk and a have mild scoliosis and we thought that we would be able to sleep comfortably... Definitely not worth the price.

I can't believe the amount of energy I woke up with after a single night of sleep on my Purple. My back and shoulder issues used to make sleep uncomfortable at times, but I haven't had an issue since this mattress came into my life.
