Two yeas ago, we bought a Casper. Recently, my adult son came back to live with us so we needed another mattress. We decided to buy the purple thinking it would be better than Casper but really they are very similar. I like foam but they don't last any longer than traditional spring mattresses.

Honestly, I wanted to love this bed, I really really did. But I seem to be developing back problems from the mattress that I have never had before. For the price I paid, I have to say that I am disappointed, and given the inconvenience of moving it to ship it back + buying a new mattress I am forced to keep it.

I really want to love this mattress but it just hasn't happened for me yet. My wife and I are giving it a bit more time but at the moment I'm not sleeping any better than our old mattress. So far on the purple I'm just not sleeping well at night and not getting my needed rest.

I am two months in with using the purple bed. After the first week of my body becoming adjusted to the bed, which is going to be common since it's a bed type that your body has never rested on, I no longer have back or neck pain. This mattress is absolutely phenomenal. I praise it to everyone that I come across and I've mentioned it several times while just talking to my friends about how amazing it is and I encourage absolutely everyone to get one. I don't ever see me going back to any other type of mattress other than the purple mattress. The mattress cover is also extremely soft and absolutely so comfortable. In short I love the Purple. -I bought this bed for full-price and have in NOWAY been incentivised for this review.

I love my mattress (new version 3") but I wish I had bought the 4". I just came to the website to see if they sell a topper so I could add one but they don't. Oh well, it's great without it, but if you're gonna buy go all out and buy the top of the line. Love my Purple!

It's a great Bed, especially the sheets and pillows, I'm going to upgrade my mattress to the hybrid as I'm a side sleeper and I find the material is a little more firm than my body likes but it doesn't bow in like my old mattress used to, it would weak havoc with my hips. This is definitely better but I think thicker material is better if you're a side sleeper

I purchased this for my mother in law and she loves it. I read tons of reviews about it taking forever to ship, and was pleasantly surprised as we were on a right deadline and I figured I was going to end up canceling the order if it didn't ship within the estimated 3-5 days. There were so many complaints about that so I had a backup option ready, but wanted to try to get her her preferred Purple mattress if I could. It shipped on time and arrived just when we needed it!!

The actual material for the purple part and the rest of the foam making up the bed is great. The best feature of purple is the cooling ability while still retaining some kind of "squish". I can now reliably use a heavier blanket and wear pajamas during summer without having to worry about overheating. I would also imagine couples who like to play a lot can find this useful, alongside the overall apparent durability of the material. Problem is that I've found the bed too firm. The amount of tension in the material is so high that it's not practical to sleep on my belly. Back sleeping is ok but I have to be careful with my arms, as my elbows aren't heavy enough to sink into the material, thus causing occasional issues where my elbow joint is sore later trying to keep my arm up. Side sleeping is also ok, but the increased support again cause my hips to hurt a little. Ultimately gave the bed to my sibling, they're enjoying it. I've tried the more expensive variations only to be met with the same issues. Ultimately I returned said variations and am now looking for plush memory foam type hybrid mattress that hopefully cools as well as purple does.

I have a custom bed that I'm not getting rid of , so added extra slats to support the Purple, but I still did not think it was frim enough and it was too low. My solution was to build a platform that fit inside the bed frame and sheathed it with 3/4 plywood for rigidity. It's awesome now that that is done, and I turned the mattress around--I thought the logo would face the foot, and didn't notice the tags (not sure if one end is firmer or not or if the wave on the side indicates anything, but I love it now).

we ordered the basic purple mattress. it arrived within a week, No problems un-packing and setting up. It took about 3 days to air out the "plastic" smell. 1st night sleeping was very fine. I actually expected it to be a little softer. It is softer than our old Laytex and foam mattress. In 10 yrs or so, I expect my arthritis will demand the next level up in softness. I don't wake up with sore hips and shoulders any more. (I am a side sleeper). so far so good and going on 2 weeks now.
