I have horrific insomnia, plus a thyroid disorder, which equals very little sleep. While I still wake up frequently at night, my Purple mattress has given me the best sleep I've had in my adult life. My husband used to compete nightly for the title of World's Best/Worst Snorer, but even that is at a minimum. Honestly, this mattress is life-changing. I love you so much, Purple mattress.

I wasn't sure I was going to like a heavy foam bed. In fact I had leaned towards a Sleep Number bed. Considering the 100 day trial with Purple, we figured "why not". I am glad we did. For a fraction of the cost, we now have a mattress that is so comfortable and so QUIET! I haven't slept this well in a LONG time.

I was hesitant to purchase this mattress and was fully expecting to have to return it. Fortunately, this will not happen! This is the best mattress I have ever had! Nothing hurts on my body when I lay down or when I wake up. I highly recommend this mattress and love love love it. It's great for other activities too. wink wink

After a couple years, I've determined that I can't sleep on the Purple mattress. My wife doesn't have a problem, as she moves very little and sleeps on her back - while I toss and turn. My conclusion is this, small light-weight individuals that move very little during the night will have no problems. But if you are like me, 250 pounds and wide shouldered that doesn't remain still during the night - the original 2" comfort grid mattress will give you problems. At first the mattress appeared firm - but I think over time it gave up some of it's firmness and I started sinking into the mattress - which caused me to wake up every time I wanted to shift. Plus it hurt my shoulder blades when I lay on my back for too long. I gave it a 3-star rating - because it was fine for my wife - but not good for me! I hope this review gives buyers with my physical characteristics and sleeping style some things to consider. This review is NOT intended to slam the Purple mattress - it just isn't the mattress for me - but it could be a great one for you!

I've always had back problems. It got to the point where I couldn't sleep on any bed. I ordered the purple bed as a kinda last hope option. For the first week my back still hurt, but after about 2 weeks it was like my back had been cured! This bed has changed my life!

The bed is rough when you first start to sleep it needs to be softer or simulate more of a real mattress on top. Once your sleeping in it it's good. It's just that initial 20 minutes, is a little uncomfortable. Definitely not a mattress for people who sleep on their stomachs. First off it feels terrible no to mention it causes knee problems. I love the mattress...it was exactly as advertised. So, I am enjoying my purchase and would recommend it to others. However, I thought the customer service was lousy. I contacted customer service (via email because I couldn't find a phone number), and didn't receive a response for almost a week. When they finally did respond, it was an automated reply that essentially told me to check their website for the answer. If these guys want to be a serious online company, they need to understand that customer service needs to be world class. Otherwise, people will just go to a store so they can talk to someone and get real time feedback.

That may seem like an over the top review title, but I'm one of those people who fell in love with the purple family. I started with the pillow as it was my best option to see what the material felt like and a little of its fascinating properties. As soon as the pillow arrived, I was convinced to get the mattress. Once I had the mattress, I knew I wasn't going to return it, so I invested in the mattress protector, and sheets. Next up will be the power base. The biggest thing I can say is Purple does it no one else. I did a lot of mattress shopping and nothing in the stores jumped out at me as screamingly comfortable, not even the high end ones. But just one night on purple and you see the world of difference. I read a lot of reviews about needing an adjustment period, I was lucky and had none, but I think that largely has to do with the sheets. I slept great for 3 nights with Jersey knit t-shirt sheets, then when I switched to conventional sheets, I got instant back pain. Before the mattress arrives, get a set of stretchy sheets (Purple, Sheex, Jersey Knit, etc...) because for me, that was a definable difference. I've never been happier with my bedroom, and now I spend more hours relaxing on the bed than ever before. Can't wait for the next latest and greatest from the masterminds of Purple.

I was using an incredibly crappy spring mattress before investing in my first real mattress, which has been my new Purple. I suffer from chronic neck pain and migraines, and this has helped me sleep through the night and wake up with less pain - one month in and I'm already in love. I also sleep hot and this thing keeps me totally cool. I cannot say enough about this mattress and am so satisfied!

I didn't know I could sleep like this. Years of suffering poor sleep- gone. Night sweats and back pain- waking up miserable- no more. Why did it take so long to find this product? I recommend it to anyone looking for a great sleep. Definitely try. You'll love it. I've NEVER been a back sleeper before because I couldn't feel comfortable, but I can now! That says a LOT! My hips don't ache from sleeping on my side! My previous mattress that I paid $3,000 for just 3 years ago- killed my back and hips! Stomach sleeping- no problem... That's a first! Before my boobs felt smoothed and cramped, no more! Now all I need is a purple pillow.
