We were nervous about buying a mattress online and never having tried it. The overall purchasing experience was easy and delivery was fast. The mattress is cool to sleep on and very comfortable. We have been getting the best nights sleep in a long time. Good bye Serta.

It's a good mattress a lot more comfortable than my previous one. I would reccomend it to anyone seeking a good brand and good price. I personally suffer from lumbar spinal pain. The mattress did assist me with it. I highly reccomend the stretchy sheets. It provides the full comfort of the bed.

So I was diagnosed with scoliosis as a young child. I have spent more than two thirds of my life living with treatment, physical therapy, alternative therapies, trying gimics and endless amounts prescription pain meds. As an adult I have been diagnosed with degenerative arthritis, severe spondylitis and sciatica issues. Top all of that off with the fact the I spent a lot of time as cyclist, participation in roller derby and just an active person. I have known for some time that I would have to start being kinder to my body. Being able to rest and recover after events is crucial. December 2015, I had major spine surgery. 16 screws, 12 hooks and 4 titanium rods now connect from T8 to S1 (Google a spinal map for a better picture of what that looks like.). Having a solid, comfortable bed is tremendous. We have tried conventional sleep systems. They still required modifications for me. I started looking online. Like most people, the thought of buying a mattress sight unseen (especially with my issues) is just not going to happen. So I started researching. I looked at all of the 'internet' mattresses. Most did not answer any of my questions. The thought alone of being on a foam mattress made me sweat. Memory foam toppers are not only hot but they felt like I was laying wet sand. Nope, I needed to know more. I looked at real customer reviews online. I tried online chatting with representatives from the different online retailers. Not one had answers to my questions... except Purple. The others maybe had longer warranties or trial periods. Some cost more, some a little less. However, they couldn't or wouldn't answer my questions. Purple has been a straight shooter from the start. We received our Purple mattress about 50 days ago. We live in Texas and it was nearing the end of our triple digit summertime so I was concerned that first night about being too warm. We were both pleasantly surprised. Neither of us was warm and we both woke up snuggled under our blankets. For me and my pain issues, I slept well. Not just good or okay, but well. I have my good days and bad days still, but I feel rested and it is easier to wake up. So far so good. Now we have the big test... holidays with the inlaws. We were out of town for Thanksgiving. I had to sleep in a recliner for FOUR NIGHTS. I could not get comfortable on any of the guest beds or our expensive air mattress we bring with when we travel. Pain levels were very high. I could not wait to be home. After getting home, unloading, cleaning up and got ready just chill with a movie before bed time. I started the movie and crawled into bed. Within 15 minutes I was out cold. I woke this morning, rested. Still a little sore but rested and was able to start my day without having to hit the pain meds first. I have definitely missed my Purple sleeps. From their amazing customer service team (Travis is AWESOME!), highly hilarious marketing to just simply producing a quality product, I cannot recommend this mattress enough. I look forward to my continued healing and living my active lifestyle, knowing that I can truly rest and recharge in the supportive comfort of my Purple mattress. Thanks!

I'm 5'7", just under 200#, side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. My wife, 5'8", a lady doesn't tell (my guess is 130#), side sleeper, neck and back pain in the morning. The previous mattress was old and in a dire need to be replaced. So far, two weeks in, my wife is loving it and I'm loving it. I was very hesitant at first, did research on 'bed in boxes' for about 3 years (yeah) and the final purchase came down to this and the Brooklyn Mattress. We pulled the trigger on this one and I'm glad we did. FedEx did have some challenges delivering but there was also some snow storms going on at the time. It finally arrived two days later than expected (had to sleep on the couch those two days as the wife and I moved the old mattress out into the garage the morning we thought we were originally getting but can't blame Purple for FedEx). It's a king so moving it was somewhat of a challenge but my wife and I handled it, no problems. Unpacking wasn't a challenge either, however we didn't get the blade they talked about either but made do with a scissors. Unrolling onto the new bedframe we purchased for this mattress was also relatively easy although I think I was more frustrated than my wife for a couple brief moments. I just wanted to lay down. No strong odor, which my wife would have called shenanigans on due to her extremely strong sense of smell, so that was a relief. The mattress seems firm, which would have been another deal breaker for my wife, but after you lay on it, it's like freaking awesome. I have zero problems going to sleep now and waking up I have much less problems with my back pain. I did upgrade my pillow to a different brand pillow and that also helped with my neck pain. My wife's back pains still persist however she claims her neck pains are not as bad and her back pain is not as bad. If there is any negative, it's that my wife says it is a bit chilly - we sleep at 62 degrees at night in southern WI so the trick is layers. She remedied her cold body to using her body pillow again, which she normally uses any ways. I think if threw some flannel sheets on in the winter, she would also be fine. This mattress will be total heaven in the hot, humid days of summer. Overall, would recommend and will probably buy a new one since it does sleep cooler and we have a daughter that sleeps very warm and I'm sure she would love this mattress for the hot summer days ahead.

We took a chance on a mattress we found on the internet. A mattress with materials we had never tried, or laid on prior to our purchase... and it's the best mattress we've ever had! I'm not going to list off everything we love about this mattress because the brilliant marketing team hits the nail right on the head. I will mention one thing we've noticed, this mattress shows now signs of sagging or permanent wear from where we sleep on it. It appears it will last us for many years to come. Many thanks to the whole team at Purple for saving us from back pain, and nights of unrest. We couldn't be more thrilled about our mattress!

Set up was quick and efficient (and fun!). Mattress comfort took some time to adjust for us (sore backs and hips - but they were bunk body parts to begin with). Mattress has a "springy" feel to the top but also cradles and absorbs you at the same time. Feels nice. Without a mattress protector the feeling is bumpy akin to an egg crate but with lesser hills and valleys. Using a mattress protector or tight sheets this is not felt. But I wouldn't recommend tight sheets. Use jersey-style sheets or the sheets Purple sells. You'll want that stretch to get the full benefit of the mattress. Overall we love the mattress and look forward to replacing all of the beds in the house to Purple!

Incredibly comfortable. It took a couple days to get used to being able to slightly feel the grate (not in a bothersome way, just a this is different from my old mattress way). It really does help keep you cool as well, which will be fantastic in the summer!

The mattress is AH-mazing, now that we understand the importance of the mattress cover. I made fun of the blog post suggesting it could change the feel of your mattress, but it 100% did! We bought a traditional cover and hated the mattress for the first 3 weeks. It was stiff and our arms fell asleep and our backs hurt - it was awful. I finally decided to just give it a try and it completely changed our mind about the mattress. We are now in LOVE and spend tons of family time hanging out on our purple!!

My Purple bed is everything they say it is and more. I sleep longer and deeper but the real plus is I don't wake up tired and sore. As much as I love sleeping in it, I can't wait to get my day started. If you want a bed that treats you better than you treat yourself, you need to look no further. Please don't waste another night without your purple bed.

We have tried many expensive mattresses only to replace them every 2 years. I researched many mattresses. We decided to give Purple a try and went all in. We got the king size with adjustable base, sheets and mattress protector- all for what 1 expensive mattress alone costs! It is so comfortable. It never gets indented. I can't feel when hubby moves. My 5 year old told me "mommy this bed makes me feel so sleepy". YES it does son! I can now sleep on my shoulder that has hurt for years. We LOVE our purple. You won't regret it!!! Go for it!
