I previously had a well-known brand memory foam mattress. It was only about five years old, but it had to have been worn out. I was waking up most mornings with terrible back pain. For the longest time, I assumed it was just due to my bad back or the previous day's activities. However, when I read that most people's mattresses are actually worn out, I decided to buy a new mattress and see if it would help. My chiropractor recommended a Purple mattress. For the first two nights, when I first lay down on the Purple mattress, it felt a little different against my hip than my previous mattress. This was probably just the result of having a mattress with better support than my last one. From the first morning, and every morning since, I have woken up with no back pain. I purchased the base model mattress. The mattress was very well-packaged.

Bought the Purple Mattress, Bamboo Sheets AND mattress protector - super happy with those. But unfortunately, this seat cushion is horrible. So disappointed. Despite how jelly-like it feels, it does not relieve ANY of the pain in my tailbone or sciatic. I've tried it on several different chairs. It's just still too firm. It's heavy, clunky and hard to manage or transport. I'm in my 30's, slender, and still don't find it wide enough without feeling the edges. SO wish I was still within my 30 day return window. Was a very expensive waste of money. A plain foam/cushion seat topper is better than this.

I was really excited about ordering my purple after hearing and seeing so many positive reviews. After months of pondering i finally pulled the trigger and bought one. The shipping and unpacking were easy and they even shipped a little racer, so it all happened very smoothly. The mattress itself is fine. I like that it's not too soft and on the firmer side, while still being flexible. I don't notice any improvement in my sleep or comfort, other than being slightly cooler than previous mattress. I wouldn't deter anyone from buying this mattress, but I also don't think it would be first on my list of recommendations either.

The bed is really really comfortable, but our main priority was the cooling factor. My wife gets super cold and needs a comforter, but I run really hot. We wanted a mattress that works for both of us and let us both stay close. Purple keeps her warm and me cool. It's awesome.

Once upon a time, a very light sleeper married a toss-and-turner. Unfortunately for the light sleeper, she loved the toss-and-turner so much that she went 17 years without a decent night sleep. The couple tried everything to make bedtime sleepy again. But neither memory foam or sleep number beds worked. The light sleeper thought she would never again enjoy a peaceful night sleeping next to toss-and-turner. That was until the day she heard about PURPLE. The promises this mattress had to offer sounded like a fairy tale but would it have a happy ending? Against all odds, light sleeper decided to try the PURPLE mattress and discovered something amazing. She could sleep ALL NIGHT next to toss-and-turner without feeling his movements!!! At last, the happy couple found the perfect mattress! And they finally slept happily ever after!

From other reviews i had some fears. But the mattress was clean/smelled good right away. My only complaint is it is crazy heavy. It it quite difficult to manuver around, I used to love the softness of foam mattresses, but the purple mattress is soft, with solid support. It is pretty awesome.

1. Return process is very poorly designed. It is not up to the customer to initiate the process. Customer must talk to an agent to set it up. It took almost three weeks to be able to get a hold of an agent(Pandemic issues). There wasn't other options in place handy for the customer who is wishing to return a product. 2. FedEx had us put the Mattress on our front porch, and never came to pick it up on time. We ended up dragging it all the way to FedEx store, who wanted to charge us $200 for the return, because we didn't have any return labels. We called Purple again, and were placed on hold for 45 minutes, finally someone picked up, and emailed us return labels, and had to talk to the FedEx agent to give them some "unique code." 3. Here's a question for you! If you were us, would you ever purchase a purple product again???

I had purchased this mattress for my mom based on the reviews. She however was very skeptical that a bed in a box was going to be comfortable since she didn't try it. She likes her mattress not to soft and not to firm. Well I have to tell you, I don't typically right reviews and she absolutely loves this mattress!! She said it that everything you had stated was accurate. Best sleep in her life. I'm really excited for the pillow. I purchased from kickstarter now. So thank you for a honest product that really does what you say it will do. Purple is really on to something! I did order the mattress protector and that's really nice as well. And I purchased the new sheets and can't wait for purpletting to ship them!

I LOVE MY MATTRESS!!!! I wake up every morning WITH NO STIFFNESS! I haven't felt that good in years! About 6 months ago I bought a Memory foam mattress from Sealy and returned it within a week. I was hot and miserable. My Purple mattress retains absolutely no heat. PURPLE....my new favorite color & mattress!

We loved our Purple mattress for the first year or so, but after 1.5-2 years it started to sag and never bounced back. You can actually feel the outline where our bodies have made an impression. It's gotten to the point where neither of us is sleeping well and we wake up at 4 am with terrible back pain. I'm a stomach sleeper and it feels like the small of my back is constantly arched while I'm sleeping because there's so little support. We use the Purple platform base, so we're definitely using the mattress properly. Also, the mattress base has become really squeaky - It squeaks anytime either of us move on the bed, and it's especially loud when either of us sit up in bed. I wouldn't recommend either the mattress or the mattress base.
