We have had the original purple mattress now for about a year. We were very excited because of all the reviews and that it said it was great for all sleep types. My husband is a stomach or back sleeper. I'm a side sleeper. He loves it! Me, not so much. Too firm. He was sweet and gave into a 2" gel topper. Much better!

I'm 6' 2", 215lbs, combo/side sleeper. I love the grid, it doesn't get hot, it's great when you're fully on your back, pretty good on your side, decent on your stomach. Although for back and stomach, you have to really make sure to lay down fully spread out, otherwise your hips (and your hips only) will just squash through the grid and thats not comfortable. But kind of unhappy with the supportiveness due to the layers underneath the grid. While laying on the edge of the bed is ok, sitting on the edge of the bed is really uncomfortable, it really squashes down to nothing. And moving around the bed is ok but I strongly prefer coils. I'll have to see if I can afford upgrading to one of the hybrids.

We're OBSESSED with these sheets. They are so soft and so stretchy and STAY ON thanks to the super strong and thick elastic band that wraps the mattress in a hug. You can't have a Purple without Purple sheets. Only problem is...after about 6 months of use (after following washing instructions to exactness), the first tiny hole appeared in the sheet. It was followed by another. And another. I meant to take advantage of the 1 year warranty, but never got around to it (of course) and now, 1 and 1/2 years later, there's a hole the size of China in it and a million other small holes. Still love the sheets and will buy some more when we can afford it. Just hope they'll last a little longer. And if they don't, I'll definitely not forget to take advantage of the warranty.

I've been searching for mattress love for he better part of 2 years now. I've tried the big name bed in box companies, and the best memory foam the local mattress stores had to offer. Being a side sleeper, I would wake up every morning with sore hips. Bed after bed, my search for love was diminishing. Then I bought a Purple mattress! My hips were finally happy. Happy hips, happy life. Love is out there for everyone! Don't give up, never give up.

This is the best mattress hands down. It is literally better than a fancy hotel mattress! It took a while for the mattress to come and FOREVER to finally get the base, but we have been sleeping on it for about 2 weeks now (ordered February 22nd, today is April 26th) and couldn't be happier with it! I have chronic pain issues including fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis and my pain levels have dropped DRASTICALLY! Thank you Purple people, for all you do!!

We have a Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe, so every mattress we've tried feels awful in comparison. When it was time to move our 2 year old to a big girl bed, we tried to give her our old mattress from the guest room. After sleeping in there with her for one night, I knew that mattress wouldn't cut it and ordered the Purple. This mattress is AMAZING and WORTH EVERY PENNY (which isn't that much compared to a Tempurpedic!!!). I've slept in my daughter's room when she has a rough night and I don't wake up with any joint pain! I love how cushiony yet supportive this mattress is! Would buy another in a heartbeat!!!

It was easy to unpack and install. Mattress is very comfy. I love that it circulates air beneath you better than other mattresses I've tried so you don't get as sweaty. The company should work to reduce their waste though: they shop these weird mini mattresses about the size of your hand with it, and I wish I could return the huge plastic duffel style bag it ships in. These items are now cluttering our home as I haven't found a way to recycle or repurpose them yet to keep them out of the landfill.

Upgraded from the Purple to the Purple Plus. No noticeable improvement in how the mattress does anything for our sleep. We are sleeping the same if not a little worse since getting it. Laying on my back I still feel the gap between my lower back and the mattress. Nothing special about this one unfortunately. Bummer to have upgraded and not gotten anything better than what we had.

When my wife and I bought our first house, we also decided it was time for a bed upgrade. We'd been sleeping on a traditional queen sized mattress and didn't have any strong opinions about it one way or another. A friend recommended that we try Purple and after a little internet search, it seemed like others strongly agreed too. We are both tall (6'4 and 5'11), so we chose the king sized mattress....not the California King though. We are beyond happy with our purchase. Immediately we could tell a difference from our traditional mattress, and our quality of sleep improved too. There is something comforting, and yet supportive, about the feel of the Purple mattress. We would definitely buy from Purple again, and always tell friends and family to consider it when making a new purchase!

I like a soft mattress, while my husband could sleep on a slab of concrete. I figured one of us would not be able to sleep on the Purple mattress, but I was wrong! Both of us are very comfortable and pleased with our new mattress! No hip pain for me and no back pain for my husband.
