I really had hoped this mattress was going to "wow" me, but I don't feel it provided anything better for me than my old memory foam mattress I gave away. Also, I have had shoulder pain from sleeping sideways on it. I would suggest that Purple add some kind of fabric handles to the sides of the mattress to make it easier to move.

So I was diagnosed with scoliosis as a young child. I have spent more than two thirds of my life living with treatment, physical therapy, alternative therapies, trying gimics and endless amounts prescription pain meds. As an adult I have been diagnosed with degenerative arthritis, severe spondylitis and sciatica issues. Top all of that off with the fact the I spent a lot of time as cyclist, participation in roller derby and just an active person. I have known for some time that I would have to start being kinder to my body. Being able to rest and recover after events is crucial. December 2015, I had major spine surgery. 16 screws, 12 hooks and 4 titanium rods now connect from T8 to S1 (Google a spinal map for a better picture of what that looks like.). Having a solid, comfortable bed is tremendous. We have tried conventional sleep systems. They still required modifications for me. I started looking online. Like most people, the thought of buying a mattress sight unseen (especially with my issues) is just not going to happen. So I started researching. I looked at all of the 'internet' mattresses. Most did not answer any of my questions. The thought alone of being on a foam mattress made me sweat. Memory foam toppers are not only hot but they felt like I was laying wet sand. Nope, I needed to know more. I looked at real customer reviews online. I tried online chatting with representatives from the different online retailers. Not one had answers to my questions... except Purple. The others maybe had longer warranties or trial periods. Some cost more, some a little less. However, they couldn't or wouldn't answer my questions. Purple has been a straight shooter from the start. We received our Purple mattress about 50 days ago. We live in Texas and it was nearing the end of our triple digit summertime so I was concerned that first night about being too warm. We were both pleasantly surprised. Neither of us was warm and we both woke up snuggled under our blankets. For me and my pain issues, I slept well. Not just good or okay, but well. I have my good days and bad days still, but I feel rested and it is easier to wake up. So far so good. Now we have the big test... holidays with the inlaws. We were out of town for Thanksgiving. I had to sleep in a recliner for FOUR NIGHTS. I could not get comfortable on any of the guest beds or our expensive air mattress we bring with when we travel. Pain levels were very high. I could not wait to be home. After getting home, unloading, cleaning up and got ready just chill with a movie before bed time. I started the movie and crawled into bed. Within 15 minutes I was out cold. I woke this morning, rested. Still a little sore but rested and was able to start my day without having to hit the pain meds first. I have definitely missed my Purple sleeps. From their amazing customer service team (Travis is AWESOME!), highly hilarious marketing to just simply producing a quality product, I cannot recommend this mattress enough. I look forward to my continued healing and living my active lifestyle, knowing that I can truly rest and recharge in the supportive comfort of my Purple mattress. Thanks!

This mattress is wonderful. Probably the best I've ever slept on. But it is unmanageable because of its weight. If I were to buy a mattress again I'd look to see if I could find one similarly comfortable maybe even a little less comfortable but much lighter or even one that's just as heavy but doesn't fold on itself like jello. There is little structure inside to get leverage in putting on a bed frame or moving it to a different room or anything. Good sleep but sore back after moving it.

This is hands down the best mattress I have slept on in my life. It has the same 'body sinking in' feeling like a memory foam mattress with much better support. I remain cool throughout the night and moving around the bed is very easy. Whether I'm on my side, stomach or back, I am very comfortable and have no aches or pains. The bed is very heavy.

This bed is indeed super comfortable, but I wake up in a pool of sweat every few hours. I have to literally turn off the heat and open my windows... in the winter! Really disappointed as all my research said this one was the one that was supposed to be the "most cool."

First I was stuck with a regular foam mattress it did not do so well with my back pain. So I kept on seeing ads about this purple product and I thought I should try it out. The first few days it didn't go too well but after that it was awesome. I was having no back pain at all whatsoever hyper elastic polymer does a great job at cradling pressure points and supporting your body at the same time. Only the purple mattress protector I did not like because it was not breathable and every day I woke up I would have a sweaty back and if you sweat you sweat. So I just went with a regular Cotten standard mattress protector, but overall the actual bed was amazing I gave it a five-star review I recommend you checking it out. go purple AKA the most comfortable mattress in the world!!!

The first week I was very sore and did not enjoy the feel of this mattress. I pushed through & im so glad I did. After the first week, I woke up feeling like my spine had a massage through the night. I felt well rested. I don't have lower back aches like I used to. I never realized I had aches until this mattress. I thought it was "normal". My only complaint is that it is not a true king size. My feet hang off a bit when I sleep on my stomach. If it were a couple inches longer - it would be the perfect mattress!!

I was a little apprehensive buying as I'd not been able to try in a store but the sleep I'm greeting now is vastly improved over what I'd been experiencing the last 3-4 years. It did take a couple of nights to get used to it but since then it's been wonderful. Ive already recommended to some friends.

I have arthritis my spine, my hips and knees sometimes hurt that it was hard for me to sleep. For the first time I slept without feeling the mattress pressure on my back or my hips. I don't know how to explain it after I relax to sleep the fact that I stop feeling the mattress under me helps me to fall asleep faster. the pain doesn't wake me up.

This is an amazing mattress. It is soft in all the right places, yet somehow firm?? I do not understand how it does that, but it is truly amazing. I read in a review before purchasing "I used to look forward to sleeping in hotels because it meant a comfy bed. But now all I can think about is getting back into my purple mattress." And they could not be more correct. We will go on vacations and count down the days until we are home in our bed. You will have the best nights sleep every single night. Since having this mattress, I have not woken up once with a tweaked neck or back. It is so nice to finally stop blaming your mattress for a terrible nights sleep and start blaming other things, like work :). I highly recommend making the switch!
