It's comfortable yes! I agree that only mattress cover and sheets used should be purple what a difference in comfort and flex for the mattress. On my back it is way wonderful and feels great on the hips; however when sleeping on my side which is my preference I feel like it needs to be a bit softer on my shoulders. I must say this is still a million times better than our last mattress and will purchase again but go with a purple 3

The reason for the 4 star is my husband loves this bed but I do not. He had back surgery and he hasn't had a problem with at all. He really loves. For my it took over a week for the pains in my shoulder, hip, knee and ankles to go away. It was like I wasn't heavy enough or light enough to be comfortable. As for now I can sleep on it just fine, but it's not my favorite. BUT it did pass the egg test.

Great value. Had a memory foam mattress from Ashley furniture. Cost twice as much 3 yrs ago. Pretty sure it caused me to have lower back pain. Received the purple mattress right after Christmas my back is feeling a lot better and also ordered the pillow and mattress protector. All great products

I have been sleeping on this for about 60 days and its just eh... It's ok. Feels strange to lay on. I have the jersey sheets to let it move and the sheets are not tight. To me it feels like I am too light for the bed (150lbs). and so there is not enough give to it. Seems just a bit too rigid. I feel like I am not being molded properly. I suppose I wish it were more plush. Like a cloud. Right now it is more of an egg crate feel. A soggy egg crate as it bends under my weight just a bit. Once asleep I suppose I sleep well though. I feel rested and the weird feel of the bed makes me want to not stay there for long so I get out of bed easily. So not a terrible bed, but maybe not the best bed for me. If I had a choice whether to buy it now after I have been laying on it I probably wouldn't have purchased. I may return within the 100 days.

This is the second mattress that we have bought from this company. I cannot speak to this mattress because we haven't been able to try it out, the customer service is what is really frustrating. Someone broke into our new home and ruined this brand new mattress that was never used. They left cigarette burns, ash and stains all over the cover. We contacted customer service and were told to use mild soap and water to clean it however, I doubt that anyone would feel comfortable with just that especially with burn marks on the bed. After emailing and calling customer service to ask if we could buy just the new cover, we were told no they haven't done that in years and there was nothing they could do for us but that they recommend reaching out to insurance. There is only so much insurance can do When you have multiple issues because of someone breaking into your home. At the end of the day we will never buy from this company again we will not recommend this company to anyone and we will tell anyone who asks why about the poor customer service. It is really disheartening how this company treats their customers. We are not asking for a handout just simply to purchase a new cover for the mattress instead of throwing out a brand new mattress not only is that extremely wasteful but just poor customer service to not take care or even try to take care of your customers. I cannot express how disappointed we are.

We spent half as much on two twin Purple mattresses to replace our old fasioned king size spring mattress that was a year and a half old and showing signs of sagging. We moved that old fashioned king size mattress to the guest bedroom. Maybe now guests won't stay more than a few days.

I bought a Purple because I had horrible hip pain while attempting to sleep. I ordered the bed at the time when the promotion was free sheets with the bed. The bed came quickly, less than a week later. The sheets came a full 2 months after that. In that 2 months I had very few nights that were actually good. No sheets I tried fit the bed. The lumps and bumps of extra sheet material kept me from getting what I needed out of the bed and I almost returned it! I tried everything! Stretchy jersey sheets like Purple suggests, my regular comfy sheets with 10 feet of sheets gathered and bunched under the mattress with those stretch girdle thingys and even sheets in a Full size (my bed is a queen)! I only didn't give up because I'm stubborn. When my new Purple sheets came I was in Heaven! NOW I can say Purple is the best most comfortable mattress in the world! I am writing a review because I read hundreds of reviews before purchasing and I want to save anyone else the hassle ahead of time if possible. Buy a Purple, you'll love it, but, DON"T BUY THE PURPLE MATTRESS WITHOUT BUYING THE PURPLE SHEETS!!!!!!!!!

I really had good hopes because of all the positive video and written reviews but this did not live up to the hype. My expectations weren't super high either, especially coming from a really old spring mattress with a groove in it ( wooden bottom). My partner feels the same way. To add to everything I've said and will express with my discontent is that it was SO EXPENSIVE! I got the purple3 because it was supposed to be a happy medium and a little more soft than purple original and purple 1 but I don't feel like it's soft at all... Which is what I was looking for. Yes, I wanted a little firmness but I wanted a soft bed, like advertised. So price and what was advertised on the scale were a bit deceptive. The bed weighs a ton!! I'm a side sleeper who has back problems and I do not get the "cradling " feeling along my shoulder, I sleep pretty much against the wall cause I'm also a hot sleeper and the sheets come out from under the bed so both my partner and I have to try REALLY hard to lift the corner to get the fitted sheet back under. It was reviewed that this bed helps sleep cool which was also super important because of me being a hot sleeper and living in California, did not get that from this mattress. We received a free mattress protector, which was nice but man!!! the first few nights I could not sleep with all the rustling, sounded like we were sleeping on sheets of paper. We went from a Full to a Queen size so we are stuck with this mattress (since we had to buy a new frame, sheets, etc.), so thus concludes my honest opinion/ review. P.S. Like I mentioned, my partner feels the same.

Switched from a hot, worn-out memory foam mattress and very happy with the Purple. My only complaint is the odor when you first open it. I had it sitting out for two days with the fan on and windows open and it still smelled for at least a week later (the pillow still has an odor to it three weeks later).

Let me start this review off by saying that despite everything I am about to say I would buy this mattress again. I chose to get this bed because my innerspring mattress was creating a lot of discomfort and pain throughout the night (and day) from all of the pressure points. This mattress was less than 2 yrs old. When I received this mattress I weighed about 275 lbs (recently down from over 300 lbs). I was surprised by the lack of the support from the upper layers. I immediately sank down and could feel the bottom (firmest) layer very pronounced. Despite the lack of comfort from the bed it did grant me something I dearly needed which was a day without pain. The lack of pain the day after the first night sleep was amazing. That being said I am a side sleeper and the only time and I not uncomfortable in the bed is on my back which would be fine if I could sleep in that position. Consequently I typically have trouble finding a position in which to sleep that affords comfort. Out of habit I try to sleep on my side with my arm under my head with the pillow in between. The mattress will not permit this (for me). When I try it positions my spine out of alignment and I experience fairly intense pain. It could no doubt be argued that one should not sleep in such a position to which I reply "I sleep how I sleep. I am not conscience when I change positions in the middle of the night so I have little control over it." I am not saying don't buy the bed if you sleep like this as well. I am saying go in fully informed. My innerspring mattress accommodated this way of sleeping. The purple mattress does not (at least for me). It is probable that I will not experience many of these issues when I am down to 240 lbs or less. By the same token I cannot even imagine the discomfort if I were still over 300. I just think if you are a heavier person you should take this into consideration. That being said, if you are not someone who has a problem sending the mattress back if it does not work out of you, then you really have nothing to loose by trying it out (with the likely exception of a fair shipping and handling fee).
