I hate you. Why did you have to make my bed so comfy? Do you understand how hard it is to get outta bed in the morning?? DO YOU?? All your hard work and efforts trying to make the most comfy bed ever was not in vain.. I declare Purple the king of the best night sleep ever!! Purple, I envy your due diligence and gladly accept your comfyness into my world. Purple, you complete me.

The purple matress is the absolute best nights sleep I've ever gotten! I was used to sleeping on a waterbed before I got married and then switched to a regular mattress when I did. I woke up every day sore and hated sleeping. Then my wife and I purchased a purple mattress and I can't express enough how amazing it is! I can't make myself get out of bed its so comfortable. I think waking up is the hardest part of my day now!

This mattress is the firmest available from Purple, according to their site, but don't be fooled, it's still quite soft compared to the standard foam mattress I used prior to it. It also took a bit of time to get used to the texture of the top layer, as it is a grid of soft gel-like material rather than a solid sheet of foam. You will be able to feel the divots of this grid, but it didn't bother me much. My significant other actually dislikes it because it's so unlike her extra firm mattress, though the busy holiday seasons mean she hasn't tried it often enough to say whether she'll be able to enjoy it later. So if you are used to firm beds, consider that there will be a hard adjustment phase before your body gets used to it. My own adjustment period was fairly short, but it was still a week of restless sleep, the first few days of which left me feeling sore from the new form of support. After the adjustment, however, I can say with reasonable confidence that the Purple Mattress 1.0 is a definite improvement for one's quality of life. I feel less creaky and more energized in the mornings, especially when I sleep a healthy eight hours, as is hard to come across some days. The bed will cradle your body once you've settled into a position, supporting you to the extent that you may need to put a bit of effort in to change position. This can be unpleasant for some, such as my girlfriend, but for me it's rather nice, making it easier to sleep on my side without contorting myself just right to stay that way. I haven't had much experience with pressure point trouble during sleep, but the Purple Mattress does seem to hug one's contours equally, not putting notable pressure on the hips or shoulders like a firmer bed. I can't say for sure how this affects the alignment of the spine, but I'm pretty sure it's better than my old one manged. I think I'll be happy with this new bed for years to come.

I ended up having to return my king size Purple, sadly. First, the positive: customer service was excellent, and the mattress was cool and innovative and I could see how it would be awesome for perhaps someone younger and more fit/slim than myself or my husband. Night one with the mattress was good, we both felt appropriately supported, etc. But by day four or five, my husband - who is a big guy at 6'4" and a muscular 250 lbs - was sinking right through the entire mattress and sitting on the box spring when he got in bed to read at night. We did a Princess and the Pea test and I slipped my finger between the mattress and the box spring while he was sitting on the mattress..he could clearly feel it. Needless to say, sinking through to the box spring was not an ideal situation for him, so we had to return the mattress. The return process was easy, if a bit long. I've noticed a LOT of people have questions regarding the return process so I will detail it here: we contacted Purple by phone to tell them about our issues with the mattress and request a return. A few suggestions were made regarding ways in which we could mitigate the problem, but none of them would have fixed the primary issue, so Purple told us that we would receive an email with instruction for returning the mattress. The email came immediately and contained four options for returning the mattress (basically boiled down to find/contact a charity to which to donate the mattress oneself or have Purple do it for you). We chose to have Purple find a local charity which would accept the mattress. They found one in a few days' time, which was great, but unfortunately the charity could not retrieve the mattress for three weeks. We waited, the charity came and took the mattress and left us a receipt, which we emailed to Purple, and our full refund came within a few days. All in all, an easy transaction and Purple lived up to their promises, which we really appreciate. TLDR; I feel like the SmartComfort Grid is super cool, and has enormous potential, but that the mattress would benefit from having more HD memory foam or latex underneath the polymer layer. We tried it out, it didn't work for us, we returned it for a full refund. I'll keep an eye on this company and if they come out with a mattress with a deeper/more dense support layer underneath the grid, we might even try it again.

I had a Sealy for several years and over time, it caused my back pain to flare up more than usual. I've had two major back surgeries and it not easy to find a comfortable position. From day one, I have loved my Luxury King Purple! I tell everyone I know looking for a new mattress to check out the Purple one. Love it!

I was nervous to buy a bed online but I read the reviews and watched some Youtube videos to help make my decision. Im glad I did my homework because we almost bought a Sleep number bed, but I read reviews here that people who had Sleep number liked the Purple bed better. It shipped quickly and we did not have any issues putting the frame together. I had to ask customer service because I could not find the answer in the FAQs, but they said that you can sleep on the bed just a few minutes after unrolling it from the package- no wait time for the foam to expand like with other beds. The first night I feel asleep quickly and slept well through the night. It did take a few days but my husband and I adjusted well to the bed. He complained of back pain for years (we are in our mid 20's and he works in HVAC), but I havent heard any complaints since we got the bed in January. Now my husband can actually sleep in until 9 or 10am on the weekends. Overall, we fall asleep faster , stay asleep longer and sleep better thru the night, my arm is not numb from sleeping on my side, and my husband no longer complains about my body heat making him hot. I have been dealing with some low back pain and it has improved since we got the bed. The bed is a little on the firmer side but the support is awesome. People say they want to buy the Purple bed for their guest rooms, but I dont like my guests enough to share the Purple - get your own haha! We look forward to going to bed, and honestly, I think it has helped our 2 mini dachshunds because they seem to play a lot more - especially the 5yr old.

We have had the purple matress for 2 years now. I havent slept a full night in a year. This mattress cost so much we hoped it would be the best, instead it flares up my neck shoulder and back pain and had left me sleepless for months trying to find an answer to how to fix the matress affordably without replacing it The matress sags inwards and makes you feel like you're being sucked in over night. I'm trying to find a matress cover that is affordable to put on top to give some sort of support. It's so heavy it is going to cost a fortune to send to the dump where it belongs. What a disappointing waste of money.

I have been searching for just the right mattress for many weeks, when I came upon "The Purple Mattress". I always read reviews for a product, so I thought it would only be fair if I wrote a review.. This mattress is so comfortable. Its soft yet firm at the same time. I use to sleep on an air mattress. They are so uncomfortable compared to the sleep you get with The Purple.

Sleeps cool, sleeps comfortably, stays clean (we used the Purple branded mattress protector), the Purple branded sheets sleep even cooler and fit the bed very well. Zero complaints after a year. Zero complaints after 4 years on the original Purple mattress, too!

This is undoubtedly the best mattress we have EVER owned. It has changed the sleep game, and given both my partner and I the best sleep of our lives. It's quiet, soft but still quite firm, and totally form fitting- as described! There is honestly nothing like it on the market. Additionally, TMI, we had heard reviews that it was A+ for sex and we have to agree! Best bed yet!
